If we sell alcohol at a game, for a few hours, and expect everyone to have a 'safe driver's ready, that's an unrealistic expectation. There will be the drunk person who drives home safely. There very well might be the person who drives home $hit faced and gets in a car wreck.
Likely? Not really. Possible? Yes.
Lightning storms aren't much different. Likely? No. Possible? Very slim but yes.
So if we ban football during a thunderstorm then why do we allow the serving of alcohol at a sporting event?
Is the university/sports venue keeping people safe by serving alcohol during the game?
I don't even want to abolish the lightning rule, but if we're gonna cherry pick that's safe and not safe we shouldn't let some things (alcohol) be ok just because it's the norm.
(Thank you for a good discussion btw. I know has been a little heated at times but I never meant to offend. Just discuss.)

No, they talked about how their coach had this happen before and his guys got low on energy in the second half so he made sure they got something to eat, so they would have energy. They had to settle for a field goal, I too think the game would have been much closer at least without the delay.WV said they were watching other games but I think you're confusing the hot dog part with the announcers.
The exact same can be said for you. Others have provided nice arguments but you just sling around insults, disrespect, and meaningless gifs. Guess it makes you feel like a man. I dunno. I like replying to the actual people making compelling arguments. You've failed at least 10 times. Others have made good points.
Oohhh I like you.
True. But should we be serving alcohol at 2-3 pm knowing people will be driving home in an hour or two, most likely during rush hour?
Unless you’re a big money donor with skybox season tickets in Neyland, I’m pretty sure alcohol isn’t served at on campus stadiums in the SEC.
As for neutral site games where alcohol is served, the responsibility lies with the individual to determine how much alcohol they can consume before becoming impaired.
If you want to move the goalposts to the 40 yard line and suggest alcohol shouldn’t be served at all, then go for it.
You’ll never convince me it’s a bad idea to temporarily postpone a sporting event, concert, or any event held in an outdoor public venue due to lightning.
