The Final Score is Different Without the Weather Delay

Are you drunk or something? Honestly you are so incapable of intelligent discussions and just revert to gifs when you can't come up with anything.

Have fun this fall you aren't worth anyone's time. You're a troll. Good luck in life, you're gonna need it. 😉

You would probably feel different if one of your family members died in a car crash by a drunk driver after they lost their team's game too.

Individual decision affecting a limited number of people versus a collective decision affecting tens of thousands of people, including the teams on the field.

It’s like you’re trying on purpose not to get it.

I never said you *had* to have respect for others' opinions. I said there is a thing called "respect for others' opinions" but I didn't say you "had to have it" so don't take two separate comments and misconstrue them on purpose.

There is a little thing called respect. Clearly you lack it.

Keep trying, I'm sure you'll eventually get to an actual point.

I actually played with someone in little league in the mid 1970's who was struck by lightning during a game. He was not killed but was still wheelchair bound with speech problems after the incident throughout his remaining teenage years but I lost touch with him after that. He was lucky he was not killed but still his life was severely compromised. Are you protesting the rule because it is a minor inconvenience? If that is the case then we should do away with traffic signals.

Again....no one is forcing you reply. But repeat yourself one more time, I'm sure the 5th time will be the charm.

I'm not sure why you quoted me and Michael Scott laughing but I'm 100% on your side. I'm guessing you meant that for her.

You are digging a hole for yourself. I'm against serving alcohol at games or restaurants but I know my opinion will not change that fact. I did have a cousin killed by a drunk driver when he was 28 leaving two small children. My dad was a pedestrian hit by a car in 2008 at age 77 but not due to alcohol. He spent nine years bed bound before he passed away last year at age 86. I have been significantly affected by several incidents which statistically do not happen often but they have happened to my family.

How is a drunk driver, driving home from a game where they got drunk at, that kills 3 people, including a child, less relevant than a lightning strike killing someone? My loss is less than yours?

A drunk driver is not an "individual affecting a LIMITED number of people". It affect his whole family, the VICTIM'S whole family, and many more.

I guess if one of the people killed by a drunk driver leaving a loss at a game had been a player you would care. But since the people who died weren't sports fans you don't give a $hit.

That sucks. I hope he's ok and is living to the fullest he can. ☺

I've been waiting for Tennessee football for the last 10 months and believing that Pruitt and Co could possibly turn things around.
While I admitt to drinking a little orange koolaid, my excitement and anticipation were literally rendered nil in less than 60 minutes.

I new better than to get caught up in all the hoopLa and visions of winning, but I couldn't resist.
I just didn't want a repeat of last year, wishing the season would hurry up and be over, when it had just begun.......

How am I digging a whole? By pointing out that it sucks? I don't understand how my losses in life don't matter.

I know my opinion won't change the fact either but geez I can't point out that more people die in drunk driving incidents than lightning strikes? That's "digging a hole"?

WV Coach Holgerson has admitted that it helped them !! Their defense was Worn down and Tennessee was the better conditioned team. I guess some will argue with Holgerson's assessment too. But with no delay for them to rest, Tenn scores at least 3 times in the second half. Not that we woulda won, but been closer to winning.
You’re just making stuff up. You nor anybody has any earthly idea how many times we would’ve scored in the second half with a normal halftime break. No idea. We controlled the ball for 21 of the 30 first half minutes and only scored 7 points. So how in the world would you predict we’d score 3 times in the second half? Makes no sense. Bottom line, both teams had to deal with the extended half time, both teams got the same amount of rest....and WVa came out and dominated the game in the 2nd half.

Although I cannot stand the dude, Greir was eventually gonna find his mojo either way. And they have TWO NFL RECEIVERS. That helps against freshman cbs

You are making a statement that because the odds of being hit by lightning are statistically low then the rule should not exist. Families who have had it happen to them don't care about the statistics. The rule is a good one and just because you believe it is inconvenient does not mean the rule is stupid.

Is this real life?

Are you really comparing the obligation of a university/sports venue to keep fans, coaches and players safe during a football game to an individual’s decision to drink too much, then exercised poor judgment by getting behind the wheel and causing harm to another individual?

If we sell alcohol at a game, for a few hours, and expect everyone to have a 'safe driver's ready, that's an unrealistic expectation. There will be the drunk person who drives home safely. There very well might be the person who drives home $hit faced and gets in a car wreck.

Likely? Not really. Possible? Yes.

Lightning storms aren't much different. Likely? No. Possible? Very slim but yes.

So if we ban football during a thunderstorm then why do we allow the serving of alcohol at a sporting event?

Is the university/sports venue keeping people safe by serving alcohol during the game?

I don't even want to abolish the lightning rule, but if we're gonna cherry pick that's safe and not safe we shouldn't let some things (alcohol) be ok just because it's the norm.

(Thank you for a good discussion btw. I know has been a little heated at times but I never meant to offend. Just discuss.)

The exact same can be said for you. Others have provided nice arguments but you just sling around insults, disrespect, and meaningless gifs. Guess it makes you feel like a man. I dunno. I like replying to the actual people making compelling arguments. You've failed at least 10 times. Others have made good points.

Pruitts "adjustments" sucked.

He had that game right where he wanted it going into half time with a one score game and then they effectively ended the game in the 3rd.

JohnGrudensAgent the game wasn't on Pruitt, just the opposite, it was on the players, they played poorly and if you asked the players, I'm sure they would freely admitt it.
