Stop picking on Jancek

Seriously, what is wrong with you people, crapping on the guy after he is gone? Did he interrupt your date with your sister or something? The lack of respect here for a guy who helped us to build our team and program to where we beat a top #15 team in the bowl and the first time we were 9 wins in almost a decade.

Are we upgrading? Yes,I think so (and more importantly Butch thinks so). Was Jancek's 4th qtr defense often lame? heck yeah! but lets not dismiss or disrespect what he DID do - and that is to get our program from the pits of Dooley despair to where we could AFFORD a star hire like Shoop and had an arsenal of hardened talent for him to work with off the bat. Nor should we act as if he is a Dooley level coach. He did a pretty solid job as DC in the SEC and thats no easy task. Some program will be quite happy with him.

So lets wish him well and hope that any family issues he may have get sorted out and that he lands a great DC position (preferably out west) with someone else - and quit this petty dissing of someone who should be considered VFL.

Gonna be honest man, I think your average NCAA Football 2014 player could gameplan better than Dooley's teams.

EDIT: Not that I don't like Jancek...I think he's done a good job.

4th and 14. Grier is literally limping. You make the obvious call and bring the house, and we win the East and break the streak.

Can't like this enuff........I've read things from Butch needs to put his loyalty aside and make staff changes to Butch has made a mistake letting him go and praising him and thanking him (which is deserved) to I'm glad he's gone and now even bringing his family life into the disrespectful comments and allegations....... We are fans of the Unniversity of Tennessee and we to a point represent our unniversity just as the coaches and players do, so let's be classy and be the bigger people here folks.

How can he be considered a VFL when he never played for Tennessee? He is a former coach and nothing more.

We had 4 players around the receiver and they all mysteriously fell down, tripped, fainted whatever. How can I logically blame Jancek for that?

Yup. Haven't really seen anyone berate too much on the coaching just terrible husband part, assuming they believe it to be true. I don't think its very smart to shame people for what they say and then make a statement regarding incest, but thats just me. Maybe people shouldn't get mad over words on the internet.

Just saying. He didn't get fired for his on field performance. It had to be something and that's the rumor going around. Kyle Phillips was wanting to transfer because he didn't like jancek. There were several players that didn't like jancek.

Jancek gets another job and we'll stop "picking on him". I hate the thought of UT paying him 550 grand to leave. Get a job John. Then we good.

I didn't catch what was said about him, but let's keep it classy Volnation. Coach Jancek helped to bring the program from where it was to where it currently stands. I do be believe Shoop will prove to be an upgrade at the position. Coach Jancek should be appreciated for what he did and wished the best.

Bingo. Tells us to stop insulting some guy who was merely a paid employee of the University and otherwise had NO connection to the school and starts his little tirade by making an incest joke that offends the fanbase and a lot of alumni who actually care about the school and went there. Meanwhile, actually bringing more attention to what he wanted people to stop talking about. Well done, OP, well done.
