Shooting in El Paso

I don't pay attention to anything they do. They are irrelevant. Why would I spend time condemning something with zero connection to my beliefs. You support Trump. He has used the most divisive political tactics this country has ever seen. He lies on a scale once thought impossible even by political standards and you still support him. Denounce that.

Hey, Let's beat a dead horse over and over until we get our point across.

Speaking of Chicago. As of today...

- 1642 shooting victims.
- 278 dead.

Of course, that's not a single mass shooting like the ones of this past week. You know, the headline grabbers. That's spread over 7 months. Still...

...it works out to 234 shooting victims per month, and 40 dead per month. 33 and 6 per week. So far. Far beyond an average month in El Paso, or Dayton. And those numbers are going to get bigger, much bigger, over the remaining 5 months of this year.

Funny, outside of ABC7 in Chicago, there doesn't seem to be any outrage over this. Especially from the elected officials in the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois, and those who represent Chicago in both the U.S. House and Senate. Elijah included. Maybe they don't have the same numbers I have.

Or maybe gun deaths only matter if they come in single large numbers at a single event. If you can spread a big number out over 12 months, like your mortgage payment, then it doesn't seem so bad. Ignore the elephant, and just focus on one bite at a time, right?

Unless, of course, you happen to be one of those statistics that gets spread out over those 12 months. But then, dead folks don't vote, so...

And this is just Chicago. Only one of the top 5 murder capitals of the U.S. Anybody want the rest of the raw numbers?

Hint: it only gets worse. Especially for the Democrats that own those capitals.
Chicago is one of the most corrupt grafted cities in the USA. Grew up 40 miles away from there and hearing the news daily. It doesn't seem to phase them how many people die from violence there. Gangs run amuck there and the cities aldermans are dirty dirty dirty.
Most people who can afford it live in the town i came from to get away from the city.
Accidentally took a wrong exit leaving midway, ended up in the wrong area. People selling drugs in the open, hookers everywhere and my daughter wearing a red bandana. I told her to take it off. She didn't understand why. I told her to look around at the color of the bandanas, they were blue. She still didn't get it. I finally said people in red bandanas get shot here, take it off. After stopping at what seemed 20 lights i finally got back to 80/90.
That neighborhood i was in has a high murder rate and we were in it at dusk. Had to explain life in that neighborhood to my children. They were wide eyed over that lesson. The lesson of taking a wrong exit.

This side isn't giving one damn inch because your side has proven time and time again that you ask for an inch and try and take a mile.

You want to limit firearms, amend the constitution.

Your side? LOL, this is the "us versus them" bullsht I was referring to. I probably own more guns than you do - including AR15's.

I don't think an amendment is required. They will attempt to pass laws and see if it can survive the courts.

Yes, that is exactly what they are attempting, they know damn good and well that they would never succeed in amending the constitution.

The bolded part is exactly how those on the right feel about "white nationalists" which has historically been a term associated with the white supremacy-master race idiots.

The fact that the left has now co-opted that terminology to broad stroke paint the President and his supporters in order to push their political agenda is duplicitous and disgusting.

Lol. It's not. The debate is trying to legislate evil people out of existence and you can't. She posted a photo of someone carrying an AK wondering if they might all of a sudden start shooting people. It's about being fearful of another's behavior. Same as being fearful of a bar patron driving drunk. A pressure cooker has been used to kill people so should we be fearful of all pressure cookers? An AK has been used to kill people so we should fear anyone that owns one? It's 100% relevant.

You're clearly not bright enough to understand the logical fallacy you're committing, you're conflating a drunk driving death with intentional mass homicide in a debate about using firearms. If you can't wrap your head around this after it's been spelled out for you, then we're done here.

I take it you have an idea? Didn't think so.

WWHD?

I said go after them like they did the mafia. But (and I know it's hard for you to understand) bigots are still covered by the constitution.

Would you consider getting rid of your AR-15 in a buy back program like Bernie suggests ? No gotcha question . I’m just curious how many would . I would not , but that just me

What proposal do you advocate that would, "stop the mass shootings"?
bi-Curious in Tennessee

Something that incorporates a solution that addresses the word shooting and what it entails.

If it were the law, sure. Though I'd probably sell it on FL gun trader first.

This is actually another one of those things that needs to die...the idea that "nobody wants to take your guns". It was always at best a naive thought by moderates but was never actually true. It's now incontrovertibly out in the open that there are people, and in positions of power, that want to take your guns.

The Daley Machine..still holding strong in the Windy City.

You choose to do nothing, not even make a suggestion. Why are you even here? Come on hog, come up with an idea and quit attacking the people that actually make suggestions.
