I disagree 100%. We had some idiots in our section two years ago that stood the whole game. As I recall they were a pair of Georgia fans. It is typically some yokel who comes to one game every three or four years, that doesn't understand the flow of the game, etc. who feels the need to stand the entire time. I sit with several former players and parents of current players who are huge Vol fans yet have some how resisted the temptation to stand for the entire game. I guess they are just not true Vol fans. I must not be in the "stand the entire game" section because other than the one Georgia couple, I have not seen anyone stand the entire game in the past 5 or 6 years, again in my section.
We are on our feet 20% to 25 % of the time but seated 75 % to 80% of the time as the ebb and flow dictate. Everyone in my section must have it wrong because everyone seems to stand at the appropriate times.
Shockingly too, we have a younger group of Vol fans so I have also avoided the Blue Hair section somehow.
I would like to inquire, what would be the percentage of people that you estimate are standing in the entire stadium for the entire game?
I guess I am just going to have to classify you guys as "Special" Vol fans. I salute you "Special" standing Vol fan. Long may you demonstrate your knowledge and expertise and enthusiasm for the game. You likely consider yourself one of the coaches and without your die hard standing no doubt the team would surely falter. So I lift my glass up to you "Special" standing Vol fan. You have an inaliable right granted by the Constitution of this great country to be rude and by golly, no form of common sense reasoning will deter you from your right.
I also spelled inaliable wrong. Any help here would be appreciated.
Just my opinion.
FEAR THE ORANGE
If you want to sit the entire game and complain about people standing.......
A.) Get seats on the front row
B.) Stay at home
C.) Go to a bar (though, be careful, people stand at bars)

ME??If people are standing, stand.
If people are sitting, sit.
Nothing worse than a rude person. And that goes both ways. There are rude people who stand every play. Then there are people who rude and yell at people to sit down instead of just being cordial and asking nicely.
To stand out of spite, is to be ignorant. Way to take yourself down to their level.
And FYI, I think you're in the wrong.
I was in AA 5 through 8. If you were the one standing and yelling at Kiff getting a look at where his weak spots for recruiting needs on D in a meaningless game that was COMPLETELY under control and using the frat house language, then you were being obnoxious. I stand, I sit, I yell my arse off and I know when to do each. Alot of what I heard coming from you exhibited a serious lack of FB knowledge. However, it's your right to stand and cheer. More power to ya. But using some of the language you were using in the neighborhood of seats 12 and 13 (or so) was uncomfortable to hear when surrounded by ladies. That's a southern thing. You can do that in a living room with your bro's, but a little respect would be appropriately circumspect and honor what our great southern state stands for. That is, if it was you I speak of.
i assure you that a degree from a private institution of higher learning will take you much farther than the local hardees. those positions are reserved for people like you that struggled to earn their GED.
I don't stand for the entire game, but if I would like to stand up and cheer my team on I have the right to do so! If there is an exciting moment of the game you should stand up! If you need to sit down the whole game then you should stay at home and watch it on t.v. from your couch or get front row seats for yourself. If someone yells at me to sit down it makes me want to stand up in spite!
The only time its ever acceptable to sit down is halftime. I am a student though, and we have completely different rules.
