You don’t make that last second foul call in a game situation like that. Especially since Edwards kicked his leg out resulting in contact.
Turner just played great defense on that play.
We’ll have to agree to disagree folks. I agree that we should have played better and hit the FT’s we were given in the first half for sure. BUT even if we had hit them who can guarantee that they wouldn’t have scored more points to make up for them. BUT the thing that bothers me is in a close game to have the REF’s decide who wins the game because of making bad calls one way or the other. And also his foot was out of bounds when the ball was thrown to him before he took the shot and “got fouled.” That was why I said before the game I hoped for a fairly called game and certainly, in the last minute, that was not fairly called. Edwards had been kicking out his leg all night and no calls were made. Our year has ended and there’s nothing we can do about it...but wait till next year. Still super proud of our guys and our great Coach Barnes! Go Vols!!!
