I spent a month last summer in Argentina. We drove by the national team's training grounds. It was really cool. Having spent a month there, and being a Barca fan, thus a Messi fan, I have to say that I would love to see Argentina take it all. Although, not as much as I would like to see the US win, which goes without saying.
Side note: I watched the UEFA final at a sports bar in Buenos Aires. It was a blast. We sat next to a photo and jersey signed by Messi - the photo was of him right there in that same bar. Total cool story bro.

Why can't a person just really enjoy both sports? Why is this so offensive to you? I would rather watch a game of shuffleboard at a jewish retirement community in Florida than watch baseball, but I don't give people crap because they like the sport. Quit being a......

That's awesome. I'm excited to see Messi on such a big stage. I feel like he hasn't played that well in World Cups compared to his league play. Although I do have extremely high expectations for him.

Went to a college prep HS. Didn't have football. Play soccer competively and you wouldn't call it an unmanly sport. I would have knocked you on your ass too many times for you to think that and I wasn't playing outside of the rules. I got knocked down often too.
I played city football for as long as I could. Loved football. Loved playing safety and being a head hunter.
