Stephon Clark: Police shot unarmed man '7 times in back' - BBC News

I mean.... there's a bunch more specific incidents... most of them had riots that followed. Most of them did not result in the officer that murdered somebody facing jail time.

A woman was killed in jail by police after she ran a stop sign...

I'm not angry... I'm not saying all these dead people police shot didn't put themselves in a bad situation... but that is what the protests are about... duly make a note of that at your next "All these NFL players hate America" meeting.

Again, as has been said multiple times, each of these cases need to be looked at in a case by case basis. When you list them like that it is easy, especially when only one side of the story is given, to believe that there's this massive racial agenda by police to kill black people. Even though more white people are killed every year than black people that never gets talked about. Why? Why are the NFL players not protesting the deaths of white people by police?

Why is it that the media immediately run with a racist narrative before the facts are even out? Why is there all of this outrage before anything is even known? Why did Obama stir this up by taking the sides of the criminals rather than the police? Why is it that, way more times than not, when actual evidence and video surfaces, the cop is concluded to be in the right a la Michael Brown?

Clay Travis has squashed this by using actual statistics and facts to show that this narrative is not true. But people usually do not care about facts just the outrage. As has been said, are there a few bad cops out there? Absolutely. But to try and act like theres some massive killing of innocent black people by the police is fake news.

You got any links to stories of police officers getting killed? I know just since I've been in Kentucky several deputies and policemen and state troopes have been killed...just in Kentucky..but you don't give a crap about them do you?

I was just having a discussion with a client today about having trouble with the law...It is strange how back when I was a lawbreaking heathen I stayed in trouble with the law constantly and hated the "pigs" for their unfair abuse and harrassment, but since I straightened my life up 20 years ago...not one single arrest or run in with police officers...Isn't it just amazing how that works isn't it? It's almost like magic..

she ran a stop sign, bass!

If that indeed is all that happened, this innocent lady ran a stop sign and the police officer just walked up and shot her for no other reason, then that is terrible and he should be prosecuted for it. But for starters, I doubt that is all that happened. And second, nobody is denying that cops can be wicked sometimes. But that isn't the point. The point of the protest is that theres this continued killing of black people for no reason other than they're black. Its false.

Fox News got busted for doing just that, showing Eagles players kneeling in prayer and passing it off as during the anthem. If that isn't spin I don't know what is.

That was for the Superbowl this past February, and I agree, that was a terrible spin. I was more thinking of when this all started 1 1/2 ago.

No, she ran a stop sign in Texas... the cop pulled her over, she was arguing with the cop, cop takes her to jail... in her mugshot she was badly beaten and bruised, probably already dead.... she was pronounced dead the next day in a cell by herself and they ruled it a suicide... it was suuuuper weird and no major news outlet even covered it except the internet...

I'm not writing a narrative... I'm not arguing a point...

All I gave you was facts.... cause you said nothing was happening... and things are happening... I was just showing you some of them

It isn't all about black people... the issue does disproportionately affect black people... and I'm not condemning every police officer in the country either... but it's a problem... acting like it's not a problem doesn't make it so lol

Don't get me wrong, I agree. I think it is a very real problem...one that is not an easy fix...but it's a problem we as a society needs to somehow address.

The protests by the players became a matter of patriotism yet they weren't intended to be. And the initial incidents of police shootings quickly became racial in nature.

My point is the messages are getting lost and somebody needs to step up and lead. Obama didn't do it, Trump isn't going to do it, and we have countless 24/7 news outlets/networks, not to mention numerous ugly social media platforms, full of bias and opinions that are only making matters worse.

The recent trials of the Thai boys is a fantastic example of the very best of the human spirit. This spirit is alive and well in most of us. But how long is this example going to resonate across all the people and platforms I mention above? I give it a week tops.

And yet you used that as evidence that the cops murdered a black lady only for running a stop sign? You have no evidence and no proof of it at all. You even say its weird. You need more than that to spread a narrative that racist cops are out to get people in this country.

Forget the "news." They are just spouting rhetoric that is consumed by their intended audience that just wants their beliefs reinforced.

Our country is ripped apart because of extreme idiots that are now given a platform to reach the masses. I fear the point of no return has been reached and those rational ones left are being pulled down as their fingernails get dragged down the side of the pit by the confederacy of dunces.

She must have been so distraught over running that stop sign that she just had to end it all... :good!:

And why do you keep saying black people? I said people... you said black people

There's other a bunch of other articles than the wiki on the stop sign chick... I just clicked on the first one I saw... you're welcome to look it up

Again... I couldn't care less about spreading a "narrative"... I was showing you why people are upset... I do think it's an issue... Stuff has happened... People should at least be aware the people that are upset aren't full of ****...

I'm not some vigilante police brutality crusader... it seemed some of you guys have had some huge blinders on...

Cool, keep making accusations without evidence or proof if you want to.

Why do I say black people? Because we were talking about the NFL protests started by Kap. What were those protests about again?
