I'd go Rakim for the GOAT... he's basically the only rapper that can give you the old school warm and fuzzies that actually transitioned through all of hip-hop's phases and became a modern rapper 4 years before anyone else did... you can see his progression as a lyricist listening through his albums... and he's really good to boot
But as far as best emcee (There's a separation between greatest hip-hop recording artist of all time and the best emcee)... Top 5, no order: Copywrite, Eyedea, Dizaster, Iron Solomon, Supernatural...
Between battling and recording, those guys just have the dopest lyrics... Supernat wasn't much of a recording artist, neither is Diz... the rest have put some solid records... and nobody wants to battle those guys unless it's to say they were on stage with them
I feel like there was decent hip-hop through the 90's... I'm not a big fan of actual old school hip-hop... it was kind of simple... hip-hop had a definite progreesion through to the late 90's, and the 2000-2012 are where most of fav albums got put out... lately people have gotten lazy with their lyrics... G-eazy is about all I listen to that's new now
EDIT: Just to clarify... Nas, not a bad GOAT if that's your opinion
Buford. The people, traffic and everything here is yankee. The worst drivers are in Atlanta, massive corruption, awful infrastructure, every morning has a handful of new shooting stories in various parts, once a month a child is shot, etc. This place needs a purge.
Yeah I read the AJC every morning and its depressing. The random violence is staggering and the reports of the previous Mayors theft makes me furious. Not sure if its still open, but the Derby in Sugar Hill was always a good time and probably pretty close to you.
Yeah now imagine reading that about the entire state of Florida every day. Local news in Florida will make you question humanity. No matter what part of the state yer in.

Yes.. but the state of Florida provides me with the great stories about people who get bit doing stupid stuff with poisonous snakes, and the woman who said that the coke in her car was blown in by the wind. Pure comedy gold.
Friend of mine in a nice neighborhood down in Ft Lauderdale came home one day to a lady high on Flakka hiding in her dryer. And wouldn't get out til the cops got there and dragged her out kicking and screaming. Reading the stories from afar is funny. Living there is less funny. You could start any sentence with "Florida man" and end it with any scenario you could dream up and it wouldn't surprise me and I wouldn't question the validity.
Nah. Although Casey Anthony and OJ left great yelp reviews for living there, I will never live there again if I have any other options. Great place to visit though. I usually get back about once a year.
