You think we can sneak a coach down to the Bahamas mid week?

Tweeting about a tennis match is different than headed to the beach for a basketball tournament.

He’s not going though. He isn’t even attending basketball games in town right now.


You know why? Cause he knows what I’m saying is true. No time for watching basketball when football is in its current shape.

Apparently, He said his family is down there, and he might join them one day, but he has quite a bit of work to do.

I have confidence in Currie. I don't think he told recruits he was going to hire a great coach and then bring in someone like Bobo. If he really does go with the basketball team to the Bahamas, I think that means he already has his coach IMO.

"Avoid the appearance of evil". He better have a good coach in his pocket, cause it's not a good look to take a vacation in the middle of a coaching search.

Correct. The only thing thats gonna shut people up is the podium. Or, in Butch's case, the airport pics. God that was an awful day. I've still got scars from it.



He was saying stuff early in the process. He's (wisely) quieted down since. Still drops in the occasional one-liners tho, like "Serenity of knowledge, my friend".

You very well may be right that he isn't going. Then, why the heck do we continue to get ourselves so worked up over rumors and speculation? About every little thing?

That was just before the rain hit. Also was not IN the 3rd qtr. It was right before it started when people were still at restrooms and concessions.

Idk. Someone asked would that be a good sign if he went?

I said no because it would mean he is a combination of about three of these....incompetent/negligent/tone deaf/lazy/entitled. Take your pick.

What “work”. The papers. Little known fact, he’s got PEOPLE for that. Dudes’s been flying all over the place for the past few weeks...work’s been done. So he accompanies his family ON THANKSGIVING WEEK to see the basketball team (who coincidentally are part of the ATHLETIC portion of his JOB description) and he’s “incompetent”? I’ll quit on this one. Let you work it out with your head gremlins. :hi:

Currie won’t go to the Bahamas IMO. He knows how important his job is right now. Babysitting our sleepy basketball coach on their vacation tourney isn’t of importance right now. The bell cow of “all our ATHLETIC programs” is in need.

Wonder why he wouldn’t? It’s perfectly fine right? Why would he not go? The basketball team must NEED him there right?

I would think that potential coaches would not want their current team to know they were interviewing with the VOLS/Florida etc. etc. It would be better to take a flight away.

Odd. Chris Low was absolutely brutal on Kiffin when he left. Said it was the best thing that could've happened and implied there was some really shady stuff going on (more than what we got in trouble for).

Currie said his family was not thrilled that he would not be in the Bahamas with them from what I remember of the interview (Obviousy poking fun at his family). He might go for a game, but I didn’t get the vibe he was going to be spending a lot of time with the basketball team this week.
