They will also play again. Maybe Frost isn't attainable. I understand the reservation with Norvell, but the misstatement of information is ridiculous. People try to justify not wanting him with bad information. His QB, RB, two OL, and much of his defense were all recruited by him, and he is recruiting at the highest rate in school history. But people don't care.

Correct. The only thing thats gonna shut people up is the podium. Or, in Butch's case, the airport pics. God that was an awful day. I've still got scars from it.

He was saying stuff early in the process. He's (wisely) quieted down since. Still drops in the occasional one-liners tho, like "Serenity of knowledge, my friend".

Yes. He is a moron if he takes a 3 day trip to the Bahamas in the middle of the most important coaching search in memory for most living Vol fans.

I think there is actually something to this that could tell us a lot, and not just speculation.
Currie is in the spotlight right now and every move he makes is under a microscope.
If that dude has the nuts to go to the Bahamas, even for a day, you would have to think the search is locked up, or like you said, he is a bumbling idiot worse than Hamilton and we are in serious trouble.

Maybe he’s not “searching”? Maybe he FOUND his guy and something needs to be accomplished before he can announce? Like the END of a season? :question: You take a Bassmaster online certification course?

Especially considering there is such limited time now. You can't sacrifice a good coach for early recruiting, but that also doesn't mean you need to be taking what amounts to a vacay when you should be pounding the pavement. The early signing period can still be salvaged within two weeks.

*That's if he's not having a coach meet him down there

Speaking of the Bahamas, we really need the basketball team to be good this year. A lot of people would buy in on Barnes if he can deliver a solid season with the football program in total disarray and people looking for something to cheer for.

That's just silly. You're seriously overreacting. He's the Athletic Director, not just the Football Director. He can very well perform his AD duties while there. Ain't technology great? What a great place to bring potential coaches for an interview. And very much out of the sight of the paparazzi.

This reminds me of our overreaction when he dares publicize other sports.

Even if that is the case wouldn’t you think there is a TON of work to be done? I cant think of anything more tone deaf than vacationing in the Bahamas while we are in this situation.

Side note. I don’t think he is going to the Bahamas. He’s smarter than that.....I hope.
