Yep, development is key. By the time Arch gets to the NFL and gets past his rookie deal, the top QB's will be at $50 mil/yr.That's craziness. The Manning's will be smart though. They don't need the money. He will get an NIL deal anywhere, but he needs to choose the best place that will develop him. Not the highest bidder.
You would think that, but if the rumors of Georgia being in the lead are true, I have to assume money is in play because QB development certainly is not. That's craziness. Good job!Are we struggling when compared to a lot of other programs? Sure we are
Are we struggling based on my expectations for this 1st full class? Absolutely not
This is how I view it and believe it's the divide between the way you and I look at it.
Nothing has happened with this recruiting class that I see as some big shocker. Sure there have been some disappointments like Neyor and Verse but there's also been some victories like West and Pearce. GBO!!!!!!
I'm not really disagreeing, but Georgia under Kirby Smart has not been developing QBs. I don't think that's really debatable.Manning’s will pick development over money. They don’t need the money. He will makes his wherever he goes. They want talent around him and a developer of QB. A lot of time for things to move in that recruitment. UGA may also have a different coordinator soon
-247There’s no soft way to put the Neyor news. It stinks for Tennessee. Just like losing dynamic edge rusher Jared Verse to Florida State stank for the Vols. Tennessee badly wanted both. It got neither. There’s no sugar-coating that. But there will be more portal news after spring camp and throughout the summer, so let’s not assume things will remain disappointing for the Vols on that front. JaVonta Payton was a late portal addition last year, and that worked out quite well for Tennessee. It’s also worth mentioning that there might be reasons Josh Heupel and his staff have to show restraint in the portal this season — not that it would have prevented the Vols from finding a way to add Verse and Neyor, but still, it’s worth discussing in general.
They're really investing in the Manning name. Both Peyton and Eli are currently hot endorsements. Arch is the next generation of the Manning clan. It makes sense in that regard.Sorry but 6-8 million for a high school athlete that hasn't played a down of college ball yet.
No thanks.
That is not smart investing.
