More changes at Auburn
Auburn defensive coordinator Derek Mason is set to leave the program and linebackers coach/assistant head coach Jeff Schmedding is set to be promoted to defensive coordinator, sources tell On3. Auburn is also set to hire Jimmy Brumbaugh as defensive line coach, sources tell On3. Brumbaugh, a former Auburn All-SEC player, worked at Oregon last season after previously working at places like Tennessee, Colorado, Maryland and Kentucky.

That’s reassuring! Yuck! I just called to ask if they would fill it and got a recording. Can’t talk to anyone which is ridiculous. Had to leave a message which probably won’t be answered until late this evening so if the answer is no I would have to wait until Monday then go in with covid!Have 3 broken ribs and called doctor's office to get new pain rx since we are preparing for trip to visit grandkids. Office told me that the only way that tRX could be filled was to make appointment. Doc and partners see many patients who fail to honor request to wear masks, and. tuskaloser is seeing its worst COVID surge and il on list of counties w/ most influenza cases. No way would I go since those three little guys are 5 and under./
BTW, rx was for a very weak painkiller (20 pills) and was presribed about 1 days ago.
I've been lurking lately. It has the feel of being in the FF. lol May I suggest that next time we are on a recruit don't get your hopes up so much. I trust the coaches. They didn't get to this level by not knowing what they need and who they want to go after. I my opinion, I still feel we need another good season before some of these recruits we have lost will start turning more in our favor. I just hate to see people at each others throats when we really don't know what is going on inside the administration. Its like we have forgotten that just a year ago we were position to both coaches and recruits. I think Coach hype did a great job on the recruiting class and I have confidence that he will fill positions of need the best he can. There are a few in here that post the same crap day after day about the staff not doing their job when they don't have a clue what is going on behind the scenes. CJH could have been told he can only take this class and get the dang penalty over with. I hope we can get less sensitive and personal and let's go back to having fun. Feel like I been in here long enough to stay all this. LOL Here's for a more fun RF!! Let's be more patient and let the coaches do the job we heired them to do. GBO!!

Yes! Only wish fans could see this.It sucks for us to see all of this that is going on right now and feel we are losing out and getting farther and farther behind. However, I think playing the long game on this is what will eventually win out. This frenzy of throwing out all of this money will end. Boosters will get tired of throwing millions every year to sign a top class then have a bunch of busts and the team underachieve. I wonder how motivated some of these kids are making millions. Maybe the kids who are talented but aren’t getting that kind of money have massive chips on their shoulders. I want those kids!
Also, I’m curious what kind of money is thrown to the recruiting sites to elevate players to a higher ranking so they may get more money. I honestly like our approach…have a plan, recruit the roster, evaluate recruits and go after who fits the mold you have set and has talent to win; coach and develop those players. Get NIL money to the players on the roster more, and not as much to the recruits…that’s what it was intended for anyways!! We just need to get through the next year or 2 and get on the other side of these violations. Try to be a little more patient and let the coaches work. We have a staff who can coach finally. Let them coach and develop like they did this past year. It will only get better.
