Recruiting Football Talk VIII

God I wish. Middle class couldnt afford the Panama Jack tee (required a visit), or Ron John Surf shop. I thought having a Hard Rock Cafe tee was cool.
I never got a Panama Jack shirt.

I did get a Swatch for my 12th birthday. I've still got my Swatch jellyfish watch!

That was my prized possession in middle school

The money is there, they just have to ask for it and be willing to spend it.

We just spent multiple millions signing a high school basketball player. You can’t tell me boosters will pony up for that, but not for football players at a football-first school.
If the money is there, then shouldn’t there be more success in the portal?

I got an original, white The Game hat, a Banana Republic t-shirt (the lion on the back), and a Hard Rock shirt on my 8th grade Washington DC field trip.

I've still got the BR shirt and Georgetown hat.

That BR shirt was playa tastic.

Had a legit Bulls cap, and White Sox. My friend was from Chitown and would bring stuff back.

My aunt was cleaning out an old closet at their house and found these.....20250427_205628.jpg
I had gave them to my uncle when I out grew them and he put them up for me. The gray one was from either 6th or 7th grade and the white one was from high school.

We're selling backup time.

WR makes no sense. Has to be we
have no QB.
I also wonder if the exits have made them really concerned about potentially pushing their current guys away.

Whatever the case, I think the least likely explanation is: “We wanted to sign these guys and asked for the money, but got told ‘no.’”
