Good grief Mr. Sensitive. Why is disagreeing and correcting your clearly incorrect statement wrong? And to beat all, you asked someone to name a 5* that Pearl signed, which I did!!! Sorry you were wrong.

If you said the moon was made of whipped cream and the earth was flat, should we all just blindly accept it and sit silent for fear of hurting Tony Bologna's feelings?

I just don't think you're cut out for message boards. My response wasn't even contentious.

I simply asked for members to name a 5* player that Pearl recruited. Not that there wasn't any because I knew of two myself before asking the question. Let's leave it at that ok.

We all can be sensitive at times. I always get called sensitive by you. That's the funny thing. It's mostly coming from you & not from other members.

Anyway I am not expecting Barnes get top 50 guys but dang he better start getting the 50-100 ranked talents. Today's news of not even being in the top 4 of a kid we reportedly have focused heavily on is a punch in the gut

Tobias is the only top flight recruit that was wanted by big time programs that Pearl got. And even he didnt get the full-court press by any elite programs. Duke and Ramar did not have the options that most 5-stars have. Elite programs did not push hard for Ramar because of off the court stuff. And Duke was simply a missed evaluation by the recruiting sites. Elite programs did not view him as a 5-star. None of that is a slam on Pearl. It's just a fact that UT had always have trouble going against elite programs for top flight players.

These fans bashing the recruiting need to understand that we will never be a top flight program. I just don't feel through the years they have been willing to pay for a great coach. Now I personally feel we have a name recognition type coach. I'm just trying to be patient and trust the process.

Is that maybe because you immediately get defensive when I respond to your posts? You automatically equate my disagreement or correction as some demeaning, hate-filled blast that is uniquely focused on you. That's entirely coming from you and your reactions.

Hell even Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have a 5 star recruit committed for this cycle and we can't even get listed in a top 4 for a guy we heavily recruited. Does anyone list us as a favorite right now?

Ramar, I'll give you. He had major grade and off-court issues that spooked off schools.

However, we beat out UNC and Georgetown for Duke Crews' commitment.

Tobias had offers from UK, Louisville, and Syracuse, and we beat instate 'Cuse for his signature.

That is some pretty thick college hoops royalty.

That's why he's never made it pro even though he's sniffed the NBA a couple of times wit the Cavs & Rockets.

I'm beginning to wonder how much you really know about the Vol program. For starters you didn't know that Scotty left after his Jr. year.

This. It amazes me how some people make their post, someone replies, and they immediately get upset and accuse the other of just wanting to argue, simply because they replied and pointed out they were wrong.

If you can't handle how message boards work, then stop using them.

Well then the rest of his offer list is awful.

If this is where we are in recruiting then even my most harsh Criticisms may have not been strong enough
