Quart'e Sapp declares for draft

got a question for you guys you seem to know every thing. why does an athletes have to have an agent is it to get him more money or do they have to have 1. I would always think that their play on a field or court would get them more money.

I only know 1/2 of everything. But, in my estimation, having an "agent" is akin to having a "lawyer". You're not required to have one at all. But if you don't, there is a lot higher possibility that you'll come up far shorter in your goals concerning a particular case. Rest assured the "other side" is going to have their agents working against you.

Dumb move. Just don't get kids these days.

A dumb move can be just by making a statement on a message board about a kid none us really even know. I don’t know if he did enough to make it to the NFL, but what I do KNOW, this young man made a classy move in the way he declared for the NFL.

Please explain how it’s dumb?
I know I didn't say that and never use the word dumb about their decisions. But I really do think he has athleticism and would benefit transferring to be a starter somewhere.
Maybe he thinks that athleticism will be enough to snag a spot but a little more risky.
Best wishes either way.

Can't blame him, or anyone who does the same thing. Especially those with fake majors.

Bet on yourself. Mess around and make a practice squad.. guess what... you are getting paid more than every single 2019 UT undergraduate..

Sapp would have to work to even start next year. Why waste a year of his athletic prime?

Pruitt's version was the truth.

I want to believe that. But it's rare to have a player basically publicly call his coach a liar. And then they just move on without a clear explanation of exactly what happened? I guess the whole "nothing to see here" way they handled it just seemed weird to me. I'm probably reading too much into it.

OTOH, the recent history of our program makes me think every peculiarity is something we will look back on one day and say we should have known then.

Just because a tweet came from someone's account, doesn't mean it was them. Pruitt version is the truth. I don't think it is a big deal but if it is important enough, it will be cleared up.

And what we also know is he had a year to make himself better and stronger and he didn't have the fortitude to try and make himself better and a starter at UT so he is going to the NFL . Our do like Hurd and go to another college and try to improve. By definition this was a bad(dumb) move.the NFL wants you ready and self motivated to work out another year in College they make you work out.

Let me put it this way, it didn’t work out for him here and instead of being a young tool and doing what some young people do on social media, he chose to do it the right way. I don’t know if it will work out for him (I have my thoughts), just didn’t think it matters at this point, he gone. Wish him well.

He did not start and has a year of eligibility!
Who the **** cares. Even if he makes a practice squad, it’s better than what lie ahead of him here. He’s got his degree and if the NFL doesn’t work out, then he has that to fall back on.
