You know he gets paid for doing that show, right? How conceited are we to see Pruitt as an organ grinder's monkey paid to dance for our amusement?
Pruitt was hired for the team, not for us. He was hired to rebuild a broken program, not to dazzle us with empty charisma. He likely followed the same creed my dad lived by: a closed mouth gathers no foot.
Let's say he was the charismatic chatterbox that some here keep begging for. Those same people would likely be raking him over the coals for empty speech and misplaced enthusiasm and begging him to be contrite and show humility in loss.
As soon as we realize that it's not all about us we can start putting our priorities in the right places. When I buy a ticket I'm hoping to be entertained, yes, but I also know I'm making an investment in the students' lives down on the field. It's good to feel a part of something. It's sheer entitlement to complain about the minutia (like a barely watched day-after show) that doesn't live up to your expectations.
The OP is 100% correct. It's part of the job. You took the job, you take the responsibilities that go with it. His little pity party attitude is growing old quickly. I'd tell Beldar to grow the F up and be a professional.
At first, when I thought he actually, physically, did not show up, I agreed with OP. Otherwise, he is what he is, I don't blame him for being himself, but I can promise you this, if he doesn't win a lot, that attitude will run thin a lot quicker than a nice guy's will. He could buy himself more time to do his job by being a little more diplomatic. I guess he thinks he won't need it, I hope he's right. The worst part about it was that he was not a no-show, just wasn’t as upbeat as the OP would like him to be.
But then no one would read his thread. It's all about getting the clicks and likes on the web. Get with it Johnny! It took me reading two pages of posts to figure out that Pruitt had not failed to show up for the taping of his show, but rather was not as enthusiastic as the poster wished. This is a poor and misleading post. I encourage the poster to use language more precisely in the future.
He was there, he just doesnt like doing them so he hate effs the whole thing, to some that need their ego stroked it's the worst thing in the world, to those of us that realize he just wants to either get home to his family or back to being productive instead of sitting there listen to Bob the sunshine pumper struggle his way through names of players he should know its hilarious and great sunday entertainment. No reason not to show it is 30 minutes even though I do not watch it anymore coach should show for the fans that do.
So he needs to start a meet the Assistants and let each and everyone of them do a show. We need to know what some of them are doing anyway. Some parts of the football team are pathetic. He was there, he just doesnt like doing them so he hate effs the whole thing, to some that need their ego stroked it's the worst thing in the world, to those of us that realize he just wants to either get home to his family or back to being productive instead of sitting there listen to Bob the sunshine pumper struggle his way through names of players he should know.
We dont NEED anything. The show is just there for thirty minutes of ad time, chill out on your entitlement a little and just appreciate what you are getting. So he needs to start a meet the Assistants and let each and everyone of them do a show. I think show is overrated anyway. If you watched game you already know what happened. He gives a press conference after the game that gives his views.I am starting to not like Pruitt's attitude about his show.
His recalcitrant, zombie-like non-presence is getting old. It's disrespectful to his host, the organization, and fans.
Yeah, I get it. He doesn't like doing it. He doesn't likeKesslerKessling. He'd rather be watching film or scheming.
Well, tough s**t. It's part of the job. He got paid more this year than most fans make in a lifetime to do the job.
He has set high standards and expectations for his players to execute at a certain level. He needs to man up and do the same.
Perhaps he thinks a win vs. Vandy is the most important thing presenting itself at this time and he wants to make the most of his time and get right to work. He stated in his presser post-game that he feels we got out-coached and this is his last chance to correct many things that are correctable. Mizzou simply man-handled us and no one thinks this is acceptable and he being #1 that our performance level was way off. What more could he say anyway? Of course this may not be the case but I think it very well may be the case. He wants to win and the 3-4 hours away from coaching attempting to re-explain a matter that everyone already knows anyway is a simple waste of time.I am starting to not like Pruitt's attitude about his show.

Which is why I love watching him and coach pruitt interact, it's like putting a poodle in a cage with a male lion, but the lion knows not to kill the dog.I don't watch the show because kessling is a pathetic excuse for entertainment. Why he is still with UT is beyond me. Can't remember some players names, can't pronounce others names correctly, fumbles over his words constantly. He may be a real nice guy, may even love UT, but he sucks at his job.
