Pruitt Is Not The Answer

I wanted PJ Fleck three years ago when we hired Pruitt, want him even more after he won 11 games at Minnesota last year

This is completely theoretical. I’m not saying that Pruitt is/isn’t the answer. If a billion dollars hit the AD next week, I’m not even sure we could get out of our way and get it right. I’m just bored and stuck at my in-laws. If you were the AD and could land a coach not named Meyer or Stoops, who would it be?
Can the fans just do it at this point ? Hahaha

Hugh Freeze will be the most sought after coach in the next 12-18 months if he keeps Liberty rocking. I. don't see him settling for an OC job, but I also don't see him turning down a chance to coach (head or OC) in the SEC.

South Carolina job will be interesting if Muschamp gets fired.

Yeah the Dabo thing is wearing thin.

A better comparison for the argument of longevity and patience, would be Mark Stoops....

But Mark Stoops develops talent, and does more with less...

So like nevermind.

It really is...thats why I said it. Pruitt has shown nothing to prove he belongs in the same sentence as Dabo.

The other real kicker is Mel Tucker.

Fulmer interviews him twice and we saw how he worked out today too. Giving Rutgers and Schiano their first conference win in 3 years.

It will never happen so get over it people. We are not good and there is no way if we fire CJP we will get anything better. Sure i want the best but we have to understand where we are at and its not an overnight change to win a championship. We lost to the #2 and #3 (at the time) and we act like the world is coming to an end. Yes the Kentucky loss sucks but we are just not as good as our orange colored glasses make it seem.

it was rumoured during the coaching search fiasco that Jason Witten reached out and said he wanted the job. I’d say give it to an alum like that who actually cares about the program and hope for the beat.

If you're going that route, it would be Tee Martin. No way in hell you had it over to Witten, who has never coached.

Awful take right there. Would not make any sense to do that

He's never been the answer!...Fulmer is terrible about hiring coaches...Remember the Clawfense?...Sanders...Coach Cut was the best coach on his staff for years and I am still steaming mad we didn't hire him when we had the chance after Kiffin left.
Should have hired cutcliffe after fulmer left.

Never thought I’d dislike a coach more than Pruitt.

He’s shown us nothing to make us think he’s an SEC HC.

Getting blown out by a below average UK team and getting embarrassed by your main rivals three years in a row is not improvement.

There’s nothing to be excited about.

But he is Jeremy Pruitt. He thinks he is an offensive genius.

All that stat does is prove without a QB you don't have a chance. Dooley had Bray and Lyle had Dobbs. Pruitt better find a QB quick!
How about doing something novel like coaching up Harrison Bailey for the Arkansas game...He should be the future of this team moving forward. That is if they don't care if he transfers!

In no way can the current performance by TN Football be attributed to Jones. This is ALL on Pruitt & the guy who hired him and it’s bad, real bad. This is year 3 for Pruitt and his team looks awful, the offense is woeful.
Did you read my post?🙄

Muschamp's buyout is almost double Pruitt's. Strike that. i did not know he restructured. Muschamp's buyout is about a million more than Pruitt's

Should have hired cutcliffe after fulmer left.

Hamilton didn’t want to pay Kiffin staff holdover buyouts when those guys would be replaced with Cutcliffe assistants (former assistants at UT under Phil) who joined him after Fulmer was fired.
