Probably the weakest team we have had in a while.

Plus they miss a ton of put backs off offensive rebounds.
This drives me crazy. I was sitting right off the court as JP dominated the glass. He, Carey nor Okpara could finish w the tip in- esp. JP.

Carey would at least come down w/ the ball at times but then fouled. I wish JP would come down with the ball more and then go back up, strong.

Idk why they struggle w the “tip in” - looked like the dam$ rim was smaller than the ball. Crazy!

Foul shots- idk why they struggle. Even Our guards aren’t as good as they should be at the line.

Notice I didn’t call your family members anything as you did my sons. They are fighters who’ve fought physical and mental battle only they can understand.
As far as your Waffle House challenge, I’m not going to be booted off the site for dealing with trash. DMs are down. I’m skooter@acesmiff on twitter if you’d like to message me there so everybody else can move on.
You brought up how I raise my children and ass kicking. That’s why I accused you of crawfishing.

I’m glad your son is doing well. I escalated and I usually don’t know when to quit. I’ll drop it since you did.

I don’t think most were downplaying their transfers. Most were not saying they were “no big deal” in terms of losses. Both of these guys were total surprises to Barnes, and there was nothing else that could have been done to retain them.

Furthermore, your statement that this is “a very average team” is ridiculous, nonsensical, and totally wrong. There’s nothing, zilch, that makes you “proven right” in any of your statements. The narcissistic trolls within these threads that try to rearrange reality by flat out fabrication is fascinating, and it’s sad. Step back, be willing to assimilate things in a logical way, and then comment. My goodness, you don’t have to like the losses, but trying to “be right” by spewing some of this stuff really makes you look silly.
Hovering in the 20-30 range all year is well above average. Agreed.

My favorite is when people reply to their own posts when they happen to get something right. I wonder why you don’t see it when people are wrong.

They just got whipped by a team who shot lights out and UF missed a lot of shots inside 3 feet. It doesn’t just happen to us.

For the nth time, Carr went to play for an NIT team after ditching on his teammates midseason. He quit on them.
Id never take a quitter to go to battle next to me. Why? Because they will quit in the middle of it and leave you hanging like Carr did.
The support he gets over our players is ridiculous.
You aren’t being proven right. You are proving you like a quitter.
This reminds me of a football player we suffered with a few years back....

Jermod McCoy? Took an injury and never came back for a better opportunity.

You probably meant Jaylen Hurd. Also, ended up at Baylor I think. At least we found out what most likely happened in that whole incident.

So we give up on our team who lost to Vanderbilt in a tight game with our leading scorer at about 70%. The same Vanderbilt team that just blew out Florida......... OK.

Ha! I started a thread back in December about how this team sure could use Carr and Awaka and several geniuses on here mocked me and totally downplayed their transfers.

Pretty sure I’ve been proven right.

OP is correct because this is a very average team, I’d equate it to being about as good as the football team this past fall.

Respectfully, that's just a pipe dream. Imagine what we could have been in 78 had we not lost Bernard to the NBA, or these transfers, or Kennedy Chandler or or or. It's a new day. Players are gonna leave and players are gonna come. Money is being tossed at them constantly . Nobody keeps them all and not everyone lands enough to have what they need.

They thought about sitting Ament yesterday btw. He toughed it out and didn’t want to miss.
The SECT is dumb if you ask me. I'd rather lose early and have nearly a whole week to rest, recover, and prepare. Nobody remembers these game unless your the champion. Next week matters.

If we would’ve beaten Vandy, ament wouldn’t have played against UF, which means Evans who was also hurting would’ve had to play more. I don’t like Vandy and don’t like losing but was over it in about a minute.

They won’t. I do not understand how Carey and Brown can be so inept at scoring within 5 feet of the basket. Outside of Gillespie and Ament, guard play has been pretty atrocious offensively. I would blame underperforming players but this is Barnes MO and it’s never going to change or work in terms of a FF or championship
The stats don't support this at all re: Brown.

This is the typical Barnes team. Focus on defense, rebounding and offense will take a back seat. This team mirrors every 8 out of 10 Barnes teams. Our lack of multiple scorers is nothing new.

When you look at THE MISSED FREE THROWS and the number missed is more than what we lost by, that is a very telling statistic. We also have lack of 3 point shooting. At least Ament is only a freshman and will improve. Add a new recruiting class, next year, we will be OK
