Probably the weakest team we have had in a while.

Things will be better next year. Some really good talent coming in and Evans will continue to get better. Just hit portal for some scorers and a physical big and we are set. Love seeing possibility of getting the Freeman kid again from Auburn. Have seen his name tossed around. He was wasted at Auburn and still has 2 years of eligibility left.
I hope they aim higher than that.

Yeah, I’ll bet your kids crawfish when things don’t go their way either.
You’d lose that bet. Middle son a brain cancer survivor after being told he had 3 years to live and thriving with no pity or excuses. His little brother playing lacrosse at UT now if you’d like to talk **** to his face about him and his siblings being cowards, it’d be fun as hell to watch a gutless punk like u get what’s evidently way overdue.

Thanks for starting a thread, this year’s best option, to scroll and ignore most participants! Better than trash can liners for cleaning up a mess.

Free throws are this team’s downfall.
One of several reasons. No true point guard, no off guard consistent scoring, lack of at least 1 or 2 really good 3 point scorers, and poor percentage of field goals under the basket on offensive rebound put-backs. Should I go on?

Wow, that's amazing. Glad he survived.

Also that's a mic drop.

That about covers it. Yet, you left out a scathing remark condemning the Deacon…

I’ll stop. Felt the need to respond as he called my boys cowards. 19 yr old multiple time state champ in BJJ and current college athlete being called a coward to his face by an internet poster who loves quitters would be simply enjoyable to watch.

I have cancer survivors and people who died from it in my family too. Is that supposed to mean something? You have a lot of **** to talk for someone looking to let his son do his work.

I’ve never seen a lacrosse player big enough to whip me, but you’re about my age. What do you want to do since you call people loser and coward?

Notice I didn’t call your family members anything as you did my sons. They are fighters who’ve fought physical and mental battle only they can understand.
As far as your Waffle House challenge, I’m not going to be booted off the site for dealing with trash. DMs are down. I’m skooter@acesmiff on twitter if you’d like to message me there so everybody else can move on.

Thank you. Didnt want to go there but felt the need. 20 months cancer free. Was the 61st known patient in the world with Neuroepithelial patz1 fusion brain tumor. The furthest thing from a quitter or “crawfishing when things go bad.”
Your story puts every thing into perspective and what is truly important in life. Prayers for you and your son- family. And I commend you for sharing your story instead of “internalizing.”

One of my friends lost his 9 yr old son in 2025 His son was born with an incurable disease yet fought his entire life.

My buddy found peace thru Christ but I can’t imagine the pain a parent must feel in both your situations.

We could be Vandy’s little brother for a while
Won’t happen - even if Vandy has continued success.

I’m confident the TN program is in good hands - all sports.

This is one of the worst yrs Barnes has had at TN, yet we will be a 5 seed. That says a lot about our program.

Heup got us to the playoffs two seasons ago. I’ve said for awhile Faizon is the real deal - lot better than Nico was in high school as Faizon played against much better competition. So we will be playoff bound 2027 or 2028 and beyond. Just a feeling.

Both sports are on the rt path Imo- regardless of this season.

Every healthy family imo should go spend a day at st Jude. Talk about a wake up call if people struggle with perspective.
We lived there in summer of ‘24.
I’m sorry to hear about your friends son. We are very fortunate. There’s no worse nightmare for a parent, but they will see him again where he doesn’t have to fight and have pain anymore and it will be a glorious reunion.

For the nth time, Carr went to play for an NIT team after ditching on his teammates midseason. He quit on them.
Id never take a quitter to go to battle next to me. Why? Because they will quit in the middle of it and leave you hanging like Carr did.
The support he gets over our players is ridiculous.
You aren’t being proven right. You are proving you like a quitter.
Folks don’t realize that Barnes will never air his players’ dirty laundry.

My son and his buddies met Carr at one of the bars on the strip rt after Carr left the team. Some of the comments he made were laughable. All I will say is he didn’t have many positive comments to share about his teammates or Barnes.

Maybe it was the alcohol but he trashed Barnes throughout the brief conversation.
