I feel good with that. Especially if it means McMurray stays on the field even when McCoy is back. I think McMurray is underrated

Agree on McMurray! Ppl act like he doesn't exist, but he was a stud at Temple and filled in well when he played last year. Solid 5th year dude.

Agree with some of your comment.

He is an average recruiter, and a decent evaluator. However, much better developer than anyone else on that side of the ball.

Other than the credit we give him for DW, who was a 5* recruit, who has Elarbee developed? And as for being the best developer on that side of the ball, Sims is too new to know what he brings to the RB position, and I don't think you can dismiss Abeln. IIRC, Hooker actually credited Halzle with his success at TN. But he needs to do better with the current crop. And Hyatt gave credit to Pope, but he's been pretty lackluster otherwise.

I really don’t think elite evaluators are a thing. At least not to a great degree. The best evaluators are likely only marginally better than average.

It’s incredibly difficult to predict how good a 16-18 year old (maybe even 15 or younger given how early recruiting starts) will be when they’re 21 or 22.

The NFL has far more data on all these guys, they’re older, they’ve seen them play against better competition, and still the NFL misses on guys all the time.

So would every other team. Not sure Caleb Downs is as good as either of those guys, and hes the best this year.
