You guys are like children whining over not getting toys at the Salvation Army when you already have a bunch of shiny brand new toys still in the box at home. The parents (Heupel) bought you those toys (Radarious Jackson, Travis Smith, Dasaahn Brame) and they're much better than the second hand stuff at Goodwill (portal).
Also, there was amother end-of-the-world uproar when Amari Jefferson picked Bama last year. But now that we have him here, the same people are viewing him as a nothingburger.

I mean…Brame’s a TE, the rest of the wr’s we brought in haven’t played a snap in college yet. Brady at least put up better numbers than any of the wr’s we have on roster currently. We only have 7 scholarship wr’s currently-not enough for a 2-deep, with it being very very very inexperienced. There is a lot of reason to be concerned about that position, especially considering each year the position has gotten worse under Pope

I’d still feel better with one more body in the wr room. Even a rotational we don’t expect to play unless an injury happens.
Also, I understand the feeling. I think we need another safety. But what we think and what the coaches do are separate things. The season will show if we were right to be concerned about certain positions. Or if the coaches were right with the personnel moves, they did or didn't make. The goal is about always making the team better.

WR isn't my concern. I think we have other worries. But Heupel has said this team is "built to win".
I agree that we need another Safety, but it’s also odd that they haven’t targeted any this spring. Maybe they like what they have in Turrentine, Farooq, and Beasley. Maybe they expect Thomas to be healthy. You really need 4 good ones. Hell, maybe they like a freshman there as the 4th.

My concern was DB, but everything about Hood sounds promising and I love our starting corners when healthy.
I think corners are good. I worry about safety. Beasley is new to the position. Jourdan Thomas is coming off an injury. Farooq has limited experience. Jakobe Thomas left. So, Turrentine the only one with real experience.

Safety to me is the offensive guard of the secondary. Swing at a lot of big corners in recruiting (the same way you mainly recruit OTs) and the guys who are good football players but don’t run as well as the others (just like your OGs) move them to safety.

I think our corner depth gives us solid safety options. Turrentine, Thomas, Farooq, and Carter can all play safety without having to move any corners. McMurray and/or Hood can play NB when Carter plays safety (they may be able to play some safety too).

I feel good with that. Especially if it means McMurray stays on the field even when McCoy is back. I think McMurray is underrated
