And you’re insane to count our guys out! It’s all about matchups in the big tournament. Survive and advance. I have no idea what makes anyone think we match up well with Kentucky. We were not close either game. Tennessee can beat most of teams in the field, but Kentucky might not be one of them. Let someone else take out KY and I will take Illinois all day long
Why would we be concerned with “losing”?What if it goes the other way? What if the Vols get Kentucky and lose a third time to them? Will the pitchforks and torches come out for CRB? So, instead of who would you rather beat in the Sweet 16…..who would you rather lose to?
We definitley beat them in Knoxville if they shoot 43%..We had it tied up at 64 in Rupp, and may win there too if they shoot 43%. So on a nuetral floor, we likely beat them if they shoot that percentage.Probably not, but 43% will probably still beat us Unless we shoot lights out. Gotta get them off the 3 point line. Hold them to 8 or less we got a shot. Here’s the deal, we shot horrible against them both times, if we start slow it could get in our head. Don’t like this match up at all. Kentucky has no pressure on them to win this game. All is on us, I think we will be favored but not by much. Our coaching staff and players better be angry and come out fighting. Oh yeah, if they out rebound us I think will spell doom for us, for kick out 3 opportunities. The only way they beat us if they go off from the 3 line. Illinois looked awful today. Win the turnover margin and give ourself the best chance. Go Vols! You get your chance at redemption, if not we will never hear the end of it. Ky fans will pile it on strong. 0-3 to our bitter rival and bounced out of the dance by them. Let that sink in for a while.

But, yeah I agree, they only can beat us by going off at 3 pt line. Its the only way they beat us, and it happened twice. They had some backups come in a shoot well. Hopefully we are better prepared this time around and there is enough tape on all their players to know everyone's tendencies..
I’ve posted actual statistics and rationale for why I think Vols are better off playing against UK. Unless I missed another one your main worry is the number of Kentucky fans who would show up vs how many Illinois fans. Of all things, that to me is the least consequential factor in this matchup. I’ve been to a gazillion ncaa tournament games in these stupid football stadiums including Indy. I’m not afraid of playing UK in Rupp, I’m certainly not afraid of UK in the cavernous Lucas oil,Look at you zigging when zagging didn’t get you anywhere.
Yes, but if they get going, the big crowd will impact the officialsI’ve posted actual statistics and rationale for why I think Vols are better off playing against UK.
