Prefer maybe.

I do think many in this thread would settle for Kelly if Gruden doesn't pan out.

Interesting you mention personnel issues. I happen to agree. There have been rumors of locker room issues for a while....Hurd happened to be arguably the most high profile one.

I think you're right about Currie....and am becoming more and more convinced we hired the right guy for this particular moment in time.

Hurd had a mentality that he was bigger than the team and caused issues. That being said, things weren't handled right either. I'll leave it at that.

Anyway, I've got to drive back to Knoxville from Johnson city so I won't be around a couple hours.

I cant share details, but it was that she was much more involved in this than what is normal...including being in certain meetings that I thought might have been the same that you were referring to. I have strong connections to her, but my connections aren't connected to the sports side very much.


I just want to confirm that I'm not claiming insider or breaking news knowledge. I was just trying to piece together a puzzle. I've only broken inside news here twice about recruits and refuse to spread rumors or hearsay.

I’d be surprised if she was as active as Cheek. I don’t see her blocking a hire. Now you have connections to her and I don’t, but I don’t see her, as a new chancellor, coming in and blocking Gruden within her first year on the job.
