I get all that. But a tougher pull than Gruden?!?!

Despite his recent success, he is still at only the 3rd, maybe 4th, most prominent football school in his state. There are probably high school stadiums in Texas that seat more people than the one he plays in. Based off a couple years ago, he may also realize that there are some situations in which a one loss SEC, Big X, ACC, or PAC X program could get into the playoffs ahead of an undefeated TCU. He was quoted in a recent article as saying that there are 5 or 6 jobs he would consider leaving TCU for. Plus, he was apparently interested in the UT job in 2008.

Not saying your wrong, or that will even get the guy, but would you really say he's a tougher pull than Gruden?

Yes, two reasons:
1. Gruden isn't coaching but wants to, and has very positive connections to UT.

2. Patterson was insulted by our people during a previous coaching search. I think it would take a premium on the offer to make him look past his dislike for our movers and shakers.

Not familiar with the Patterson history. What was this insult?

Why do you think Patterson would be a tougher pull than one of , if not the highest paid employee of ESPN?

In the event you would have to pay, they would cost the same to come and one of them already is coaching in a good situation with a top 10 team

From what I've read, it was Hamilton by himself, not necessarily our "people," that insulted Patterson, and he is no longer with the program. What's more, I've read that GP may have some posistive familiarity with Currie. Again, not saying it is even likely, but it's less of a long shot than Gruden IMO.

It's funny but my gf is a librarian and though Wikipedia is not a citable source of is accurate something like 95% of the time

Ok.. what's the weirdest thing you eat?

Mine is a cold YooHoo and a bag of chili cheese fritos.

Sounds like a bad combination but I love it. It's my guilty pleasure.

Mine is vanilla ice cream and either spicy Doritos or plain potato chips. Crush em up in the ice cream, lots of em.
