I brought up Gruden to some of my friends in GA and they are scared to death if we pull it off. It would be the SEC East equivalent of the Dobbs Nail Boot. They are saying almost like a prayer: “It would never happen! Right? 😬”

Some of my rival team friends are saying the same thing, but none of them actually think it will happen. A Bama fan i work with wants it to happen for the epic Saban vs Gruden showdowns. 3rd Saturday in October would truly be revived.

Good morning GrudCrew, keep the faith, shun the non believers. The seeds they plant are of despair and turmoil. All grude things to those who wait!!!

You dont let Butch coach next weekend for one reason only....its Bama week. I know I've stated this before but its wrong to roll in with a coach who doesnt care anymore against arguably are biggest rival if you considering the history of this rivalry. I'm sure Neyland would be rolling in his grave is he isn't already. Give the seniors a reason to play for

I disagree with this. You also have to look at the psychological aspect of it. With that said, no reasonable person believes that we have a chance to beat Bama regardless of who's coaching. With that said, take the loss with Jones Coaching, immediately name an interim after the game. Give the team a renewed hope and excitement for the home stretch with the interim. If you allow the interim to coach and certainly lose to Bama, the teams new hopes will surely be lost in an a$$ kicking.

I understand that but I just think its not fair to the senior players and the fans in general to keep him any longer. Its quite obvious the players have quit on him and the recruiting class...maybe currie comes out with a statement saying this is butchs last game??? I think everybody would be happy with that

Poster on TOS says Butch Jones has accepted his fate and has told his family he doesn't know if he will be the coach at Tennessee on Monday. Also said him and Currie will be meeting this morning, which he gave a disclaimer saying it wasn't unusual for them to do so.

He was told after UGA that Carolina would be the last straw

I was hearing he met with lawyers to discuss his buyout and somebody said on VQ he would resign so I'm assuming him being gone as soon as monday I guess has some to legs to it. Thanks for any info keep us posted.
