Well depending on who you believe looks like Jimmy heard things he didn't like and pulled the plug.. I think this thread needs to get used to the idea that Dave Hart is a chess player
I wouldn't consider myself to be an "OG", per se, but I can understand why they may have decided to stay away from this site for a day or two. Let's face it, Tennessee has a very passionate fan-base and when something upsets them, they will, and do, place blame on people to take out their frustrations and have no problem being quick to point a finger. They probably just don't want to deal with all of the stresses that would be included with things like that.
Now, I can't speak for them, but I believe some still believe what they're told. I know for myself, I still believe 100% what I've been told and what I've relayed to you all. Referring to my first post, coaching searches are dynamic; there is no outlined blue-print as to who announces what and when they announce it.
I wouldn't push to ask these guys questions. As upset as some of you might be, what they've done in sharing their information with you was overly generous, as it is absolute fact that some of what they had to say was true. They could have kept it to themselves and not offered it to any of you and you would be left in the dark. They deserve a thanks, and the benefit of the doubt until someone other than Jon Gruden is hired as the Head Coach.
What credentials do they have? Strong? Weak a$$ conference with losses to terrible teams. Mora..ummm i got nothing hes a joke
I have no idea but if he wanted Jon Gruden as the coach at Tennessee, he would be the coach at Tenenssee. If Gruden's agent would come off some of the points AND Gruden is truly interested in coaching in college and at Tenenssee, I'm real sure Haslam would be on board that. That is still possible if they would alter demands. Personally, I think LaMonte AND Gruden had no interest in coaching here and were only playing the game they have played elsewhere to keep Gruden's name out there.
just my opinion, of course.
LWS's comments on Haslam support Bcarter's notions posted earlier which is boosters were talking but not walking. He probablly doesn't care but thought it was worth mentioning.
Both turned their programs around quickly.
Strong has SEC experience, defensive mind, GREAT recruiter, players love him.
Mora NFL experience and his UCLA team looks mighty good.
But keep believing Gruden will come here, I won't stop you.
