NBA Trade Rumors

His size and length will make him above average in time imo. He's not extremely athletic

Beasley has proven he has no offensive potential? That's just dumb.Beasley is more of a natural 3 than Williams. Williams also has more value in a trade so you trade him to add a piece to your team

Beasley shoots well below league average which means he is not an effective scorer. This is not baseball where you can hit a low average but make up for it with HR's and RBI's. In hoops you either make your shots, or you don't. Beasley doesn't.

Forget about hoops, just think in terms of practical productivity. If you have a sales guy who closes at a rate below company average are you gonna give him the most leads? That's what the T-Wolves are doing with Beasley.

He won't be a lockdown defender but he'll be above average. Rubio has quick hands so he could average a couple steals a game

Just cause you get a couple steals doesn't make you a good defender. I can only imagine just how bad he will be on the defensive end, will fit in nicely with the rest of the team.

I don't either, I'm just basing it off Kupchak:

I think I've seen him say that somewhere else too, but I'm not sure.

And if they do keep the triangle (though I've seen reports they won't) Brandon Knight would be a perfect fit.

Knight would be an upgrade over Fisher and Blake.

Did I say the steals would make him a good defender? I didn't even say he would a good defender

Beasley can score in a number of different ways. Sure he took a lot of bad shots but he was trying to do too much while playing with an ankle injury all year. His stats early in the year before he got hurt were great. To say he has no offensive potential is easily one of the dumbest things you've said

Seems as though the steal line was a suggestion of sorts.

You did say an above average defender, which could be classified as good.

Either way, he won't be Rondo. Maybe he will be your Brandon Jennings.

Or Andre Miller

He's nothing like Jennings. Rubio isn't similar to any PG in the league. His passing and playmaking will be similar to Nash but his shooting will be like Rondo. I'm excited to see him out and running for an up-tempo team, just wish Rambis would drop the triangle and run an offense that fits the players.

So, who you guys see as all star players in the draft?

I see four: Irving, Williams, Knight, and Kanter.

None of the above will be all-stars. Not perennial anyway.

Williams has bust written all over him. Reminds me if Evan Turner.

It doesn't matter how you score, as long as you score efficiently. You think anybody cares that Dwight Howard only has 2 moves when he scores 23 ppg and shoots .600 FG%?

Beasley's shooting was below league average before he got injured. In fact, his best 2 shooting months came after the injury.

Wow. I would have never made that connection. Turner took almost three times as many 3's as Williams in their final years of college. Also I don't think there's any way Williams could play guard.

Williams shot an absolutely ridiculous .595 FG%. He may bust, but I'm expecting him to be the best player in the draft. Irving may be, but he only played 11 games and that's too little to go off of.

Averaged 23PPG 6RPG 2APG 48FG%, TS%55, 41% from 3
Terrible numbers?

Williams and turner are 2 totally different players. Turner does a lot of things well and was a triple double waiting to happen everytime he set foot on the court in college. Turner hasn't been a bust at all and I don't think Williams will be either.

For how many games? Anything under 40 can be dismissed as a fluke, statistically. I've got him shooting a TS % of .530 over the first 16 games (Oct-Nov). TS % of .536 over the first 31 games (Oct-Dec). Almost league average.

Even at his best he wasn't an efficient scorer. You have to give more weight to his career TS % of .514 than the .536 he shot for 31 games.

No f-ing way. Miller is probably the most underrated point guard in the NBA, and I have no hope for Rubio.

Nor do I... The kid has been average in Europe for the last two years, he'll be borderline bench quality in the NBA. Plus the Wolves are putting way too much pressure on him to be the savior of the franchise.

I think Rubio will be good, but I do agree on the Wolves are putting way too much pressure on him.
