I'm here to give my opinion. Isn't that what we do around here? Isn't that what this forum is all about? I don't think doing exactly that qualifies one as triggered. There are all kinds of things in life that I don't agree with but are also perfectly legal when it comes to the lawSo the issue is that you dont like NASCAR prohibiting Confederate flags, even though NASCAR is allowed to do so? If that's the case you seem kind of triggered.

Well put!
It's open to the public. It's not a private club. But that's a side issue. Whether it's privately owned or rented from the event, I don't like folks controlling free speech. I'm kinda libertarian in that matter
I'm just curious if they'll actually turn people away over this. You know people will push it. And if they do turn people away, will we see lawsuits over refunding ticket prices? It'll be interesting if the courts get pulled in.
A Libertarian (I know they are jokes) would fully support a property owner setting the rules for their property.
I disagree. All a libertarian wants is for the government not to be involved...and that's not in question here. Furthermore NASCAR for the most part does not own these racetracks...so your analogy also doesn't apply. Libertarians don't support banning symbols of free speech because somebody is offended
ISC owns most of the tracks and ISC is owned by NASCAR Holdings. All are private property unlike the majority of NFL, NBA and MLB facilities which are publicly owned. I don't think there are any publicly financed or owned tracks that NASCAR races on.
Maybe I don't understand what Libertarians stand for (most Libertarians don't either) but as a conservative I believe a private property owner has the right to set the rules on their property and if you want to visit that property you should respect those rules.

This isn't about rights. Nobody is saying that anyone's rights are violated here. No one is saying that there's a Constitutional or other law issue. But just because it's legal doesn't mean that it's the right thing to do.
You sound like my ex-wife:
"I have the right to go out dancing without you and leave my wedding ring on the counter at home"
"I have the right to go back to my maiden name after several yrs of marriage"
Sure, she has those rights but it doesn't mean that those were good decisions on her part if she wants good relations with her husband. A few yrs ago she married husband #4. I was #1.
As for NASCAR, yes they have every right to ban flags but it doesn't mean that it's a good decision, particularly if they want good relations with their fans.
Are you sure about that? I'll be the first to say that I don't follow NASCAR but the one closest to me is not owned by ISC. It's owned by Speedway Motorsports LLC. I see here that they own 9 tracks:

I wonder how Bruton Smith feels about this
