If we're going the young coach route Frost would be my guy.

Even though Frost wouldn't be a home run hire, he would be a very solid hire. Florida would give anything to have him and that might be the best job in the country.

I would still give gruden whatever he wanted and make him tell us no, first. I think Frost or Mullen would be good fallbacks if Gruden refuses to come here.

Folks who would hate hiring Frost are crazy. Gruden is #1 on my list and Frost is #2. He is the next big name in coaching. You don't do what he has done at UCF unless you are a damn good coach. If he doesn't end up here, then I REALLY hope he doesn't end up at Florida. I'll put it this way...we could get Gruden and Florida get Frost and I would still be really concerned about Florida.

Any coach is a crap shoot and a gamble. Gruden could bolt to the NFL. Mullen could bolt to UF. Miles could bolt for Oregon State. My point is, no coach is a guarantee to stay for the long term
