Mark Ingram for UT AD

Press release.....well, let's just say they gave him a chance to leave, pronto, ....then he becomes the associate AD at MTSU.
I'm sorry I didn't know you were in the know on everything, why did they say it came as a shock to them, guess that was just talk, I apologize for posting what was said , I should've asked all the experts here🤣

Don't be sorry....glad to help;)

He didn't get fired he stepped down if you read the press release he stepped down to pursue other interests and it was a complete shock to UTC, doesn't sound like a guy that was fired
You believe everything you read? Did you watch the press conference yesterday? They did not disclose the "source" who provided the information nor did they mention the actual specifics of the violations. Lots of things happen at universities that are not disclosed to the public.

I honestly don't know what to say when someone thinks our best candidate is someone with zero experience. That would be another train wreck. Just because he has ties to the program and a law degree in no way qualifies him to run an athletic department.
Just look at his background and you will see that he has more experience as a leader than the last 3 athletic directors. He served on the athletic board for years as well. Just because he does not have experience as an AD does not make him not qualified. Fulmer did not have experience as an athletic director a majority of people loved him being the AD. Charles Davis has no experience as an AD and several people are saying he would be perfect. Again, the athletic department needs a leader that will hold the coached accountable for their actions along with someone they will respect, not someone they can walk over. The athletic department has not had true leadership since Doug Dickey and in my opinion Tim Erwin would replicate Dickey's legacy by being a true leader. I don't care if you don't agree with me. Until further notice, there is still a right to free speech.

I saw in another post you bring up Doug, I used to stay with Mrs. Joanne, Doug's wife in case you didn't know, sadly she passed away a couple of years ago, she was a great lady and treated me like one of her own

Charles is not going to take a major pay cut from his new Fox Sports deal and get insulted every week when you don't agree with his decisions
David Blackburn did some significant wrongs at UTC that got him fired.
Mark Ingram, great guy but the state this program is in, it needs very strong hands to right the ship

Stronger hands than a guy who brought back a program that was discontinued??

Unfortunately, the information was shared with me from a creditable source tied to the program that made me swear not to tell in order not to start a smear campaign on Blackburn. David is a fabulous guy and I knew him in college when I volunteered at the athletic department one summer. However, just like Fulmer is "resigning" I am willing to bet he was informed he is also being dismissed and it has been called a retiring because no one will really know. Believe me or not, I don't care.
You owed him money?

They need to hire Peyton as a consultant to help hire the coach and AD — pay him a million — it will be worth it

With the investigation still ongoing, I don’t think we will see many details until the NCAA has completed their work.

Mark Ingram played football at UT, worked in the UT AD as a fund raiser for 5 years. Served as AD at Temple University. For the last few years Ingram has served as the AD at UAB. He got plenty of experience as UAB dropped football and two years later re-established a football program including hiring a coach and staff. Intgram played a major role in the building of a new stadium for UAB. He is Tennessee and experienced.

He would be a standout hire based on his resume alone. His experience matches the degree of difficulty the Herculean work of cleaning the Bammer crap out of the Neyland stables will represent for an athletic director.

The fact he's a Tennessee Man is just gravy on a damn fine homemade biscuit.
