Let's talk about Jalen Hurd - Eddie George is.

Kid has the best game of his young career against arguably the best team he's going to face all year, and it's on the road and these idiots complain.

But you can't fix stupid around here.

Nope...you sure can't.

Too bad......if you could hire someone to do it, it would solve the unemployment issue for the country.

Like my friend Patrick Ramsey once told me...once you see SEC or NFL speed and you recognize it, the game slows down for you and you begin to play at a higher level.

And that is exactly what I hope JW and o-line take away from that game.

Watch his post game video, reporter was trying to get him to brag about his performance, all he said was a loss is unacceptable, did have a little smirk when talking bout Worleys toughness and When we need a play the worst in the game his number was called on the screen, that tells me all I need to know about him. We got something really special

Kid is gonna be a star.

Great pass blocker, patient, powerful, and has breakaway speed. Total package at RB

The cut on the first run tells you what you need to know. He's for real.

This kid is a freakin BEAST!! After watching his two big runs last night, he reminds me so much of Eddie George. He has super star written all over him.

Wow!!! Much faster than I thought he was.

And with a better more experienced o-line he wil be even better. We so need another fast RB that will help him!!!

Great Post!!!

At this point, Hurd is solid, but not spectacular. Good size, good speed, but not elite speed. Elite speed doesnt get caught from behind even when an opposing player has an angle. He'll certainly get better during the season and over his career, right now though, he's just an average SEC rb.

He does it all . Ya'll need to go back and watch replay ,the only time striker got blocked was when Hurd stayed in to protect and "his speed" really we are lucky to have him he will do very great things here

That was the play I was thinking about. He decleted a rusher on one play while in pass protection. He's growing up and becoming a complete player and a man right before our own eyes.

Like Chris Johnson was never caught from behind? Jeez!

Solid!
Meh. Doesn't move the pile. Will be a great player but not as a bullish RB.
If you're talking about Hurd, you need to look at some more tape. He hits the line with no available hole and makes 3yds with half the defense on him.

A guy with a young OLine against one of the best DLine's in the nation on the road finds a way to bust two big runs and a big screen play and people say "he isn't as fast."

My god I've heard it all now. You do realize he's playing against a top defense right? They're not made of Karns high school players that you played against you idiots.

If he runs a 4.45 that's blazing, but if their guys run just as fast as him even a tad slower so let's say 4.5 they will catch him.

Here is how things work: guys with a 20-30 yard head start down the field and with good angles will run down a guy of same speed and even guys who are a bit faster.

If he ran a 4.2 and got an additional block or two down field he might have outran that fast defense.

I hear people complain about Dooley players left on this team, that's fine. But my god we have a ton of Dooley type fans left over. You see an 18 year old come in and ball out against 21-22-23 year old men who have been in strength and conditioning programs for 3-4-5 years and you tell me Hurd isn't fast?

Take your Dooley mentality and hit the road we don't want you energy vampires on our energy bus.
damnright. HUBANegavols

I can't believe the people on here saying he doesn't have SEC speed. Where did this moto come from on tailbacks? This term originated from the speed of defense in the SEC, not at freaking RB. The SEC has shown a broad variety of backs. Did Jamal Lewis have SEC speed? or Eddie Lacey? or Ben Tate? How about Ronnie Brown? Jesus Christ people. For the ones that say Hurd was sucked up by a DB...I felt compelled to do a trigonometry/physics lesson of different ways this can happen and correlate it directly to the play in question, but then I decided better on it seeing as how if these geniuses on here can't logically figure it out using common sense while watching the game, then a math lesson will surely go over their head. With that being said, Hurd looks like he could be the best back we have had since Travis Stephens.
