Let's ask the right question!

There are 345 basketball teams in Division I. How many of you would rather see our cu

I was addressing the credibility reference.
Arguing opinions doesn't really involve credibility.
One guy values the NIT, most don't.
So what?

He's held himself as someone as credibility because of his past, and it goes well past just this NIT issue. He just called himself a scientist yet any rational person reading his posts would laugh at that notion.

Differing opinions is fine, but when "proof" offered to backup said opinion is thoroughly torn apart, then the credibility of said opinion is fair game.

90% of fans wouldn't know the difference of what?

For someone who claims to be a scientist, you sure do throw out a bunch of unscientific analysis and figures.
Between an NIT banner and an NCAA banner. The NIT is an NCAA tournament you know.

Really don't think he understands college basketball as a tournament sport.
From the first tip off, every team in d1(all 351) is working toward one goal.
To get into the NCAA tournament.
One bid conferences play a whole season just for seeding in their conference tournament.
Multi-bid conferences vie for the best possible resume for one purpose.
To get into the NCAA tournament.
.
Everything else is consolation.
Some value the consolation prizes highly. Most, including most players, don't.

Let's assume that this year's Tennessee basketball team needs to be equal to or better than last year's team to get into the NCAA tournament? Will this team be equal to or better than last year's team? Translating, will they make the Big Dance? IMO, if they are invited to the tournament, they are equal to last year's team regarding that accomplishment. Not saying they have to make a Sweet 16 run, just get in the tournament.

Equal to imo. Unless we beat Kentucky we are a bubble team at the most. JMO. I would love for us to be better. That would be fun. We would be a really dangerous 10, 11 or 12 seed.

What does last year have to do with making the tournament this year? With UF down, it's a one team league and the SEC basketball I've seen so far, well...let's just say there's never been a better time to break in a new coach and team.

This team doesn't have to compare to last years, just what the rest of the league is bringing to the table this year.

Not a question.
No.
Maybe.
