Let's ask the right question!

There are 345 basketball teams in Division I. How many of you would rather see our cu

Cuonzo v Donnie T at Madison Square Garden (assuming California stays over .500 and TN misses the NCAAT).

I wonder if CCM can win the first three though.

Don't hate. Just a prediction.

I'm more concerned about being = or > 13 other SEC teams this season.
Can't really compare this team to last years. No similarities.

.500 wasn't good enough to make the NIT last year. The last 3 were .550 and the next 4 were .610. There were also 13 conference champions who failed to win their conference tournament.

Because you have no response, because the preseason NIT is more respected than the postseason NIT.
It's like you started watching college basketball 3 months ago.
Let's expose that no matter how long you've been watching you don't know squat. The 2014 tournament had 13 automatic qualifiers that were conference champions who failed to win their tournament. And I'll say it again, 24 of the 32 teams won more than 20 games. There is not another tournament other than the Big Dance itself that comes anywhere close to matching that!!! :lolabove:

Were there any from the power conferences that were between .500 and .550?

BTW, Wichita State won the NIT and was in the NCAAT FF the next year.

SD did make an important point in another post... winning the NIT can be very beneficial for a young team. If a team is loaded with seniors when they win the NIT, then not so much.

Even if the winner is considered #69, out of 351 that's like finishing around #25 in football (out of about 120). It's something to build on.

Between an NIT banner and an NCAA banner. The NIT is an NCAA tournament you know.

We won the pre season NIT Bruce's last year. There is no banner, also there's a lot of banners for the men's B ball in TBA. Our sec championships, our sec tourney championships, and our sweet sixteen runs just to name some off the top of my head. Also Allen Houston, Bernard King, Ernie Grunfeld, and I think Dale Ellis all have a banner with they're retired jersey.

The NIT banner...
