+1. I think we'll hear of some staff changes in the next few days, but Dooley...if he wants to save his skin, needs to pull the trigger right now and snatch this guy before someone else does.

He will definitely help our recruiting efforts in La.

I hope DD has enough sense to hire this guy.If he wants to keep coaching he better upgrade this staff big time.

Larry Porter would offer nothing. He was recruiter of the decade in Louisianna. Thats like recruiting recruiting a fat kid to the worlds largest buffet. People put to much stock in his abilities. Listening to him talk is painful and his teams would get worse during a season, not better.

The thought of adding him to a struggling staff is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline.

RB coach at OSU/LSU/ UT-M/ ARKANSAS STATE and Memphis HC( wasn't successful)
He was twice (2007 and 2009) named as the National Recruiter of the Year by Rivals.com
COACHED a dozen 1000 yard rushers quite a few current NFL backs
He is the Charlie Baggett for RBs

O-Line coach
Mitch Browning Akron(former UT Coach)
or
Rick Mallory from UAB
OR
Joe Gilbert From Illinois
*Both (CRM and CJG) are long time O-line Coaches with good resumes

Porter is an elite recruiter.

Exactly. Some coaches are just not cut out to be head coaches. Porter would be a good one. Definitely would get us some recruits this years.

Just throwing it out there...Porter isn't the only option/answer. Quit looking for a fight but since you brought it up Zook>Dooley.

Quit looking for a fight? He simply stated he would hire Zook as a position coach. Put your big boy pants on.

I'm not looking for a fight. I just responded to your statement comparing zook to porter. If porter can recruit as good as zook, That makes me want to hire him more not less.
