... Both parties desperately need the other. Nobody in the NFL will ever give Saban another thought. Alabama has financially commtitted themselves to the point of being the football equivalent of "all in." They're like a married couple that accumulates substantial wealth together, divorce becomes just too damn costly.
Why would you bring guys whose recruiting ties are in the midwest and northeast to the deep south?
Trying to figure out why Saban's assistants at Michigan State not following him to LSU has any relevance at all... Saban didn't seem to miss their presence in Baton Rouge.
Then color me ignorant, because I'm not following. :crazy:It should not be that hard to follow Tidwell. I was pointing out that he will bring with him to bammer an ego and attitude that will be different than they are used to. Saban may very well do a great job and win a NC. I however am not ready to hand the trophy over yet.

You're missing a key point. Saban came to Michigan State from the NFL. The guys he "trusted the most" at that point woul have been in the pros. I think if one looks, he inherited a lot of assistants at MSU.Simple. It shows that those who work for him do not want to follow him and that is very rare in coaching. Usually a HC will want to bring those whom he trusts the most with him to a new job. None of his assistance chose to take him up on his offer. Just pointing out that he is not what bammer has had. Now, that may very well be what they need and he may win big often and early. But I think it is foolish to think that there is not a possibility of a blow up at a place like bammer.
