Her explanation is that the humiliation of dealing with it publicly was finally outweighed by the gravity of the position to which he had been appointed. You believe that or you don't.

Personally, I have no idea. Let's see her speak about it and judge her credibility then.

You seem to already have decided that the delay alone makes it unbelievable. I think that is a mistake.

If the nomination gets pulled, the next pick up should be the hardest right fire brand conservative that can be identified. Hold no hearings. Hearings are not required and weren't even done for over 100 years. Vote up or down for the consent requirement. Let Booker, Harris and the rest run their dog and pony show on their own time.

I don't have to ask.

I found out last year that my daughter was in a similar situation her freshman year in college. I exploded, handled it very poorly when she told me she didn't report it because she thought it was just as much her fault as his.

Even if the allegations are true there is nothing to indicate he's the same man he was 35 years ago.

I'm sorry to hear that, I really am. And I do think its more common that we used to think and things are getting to the point that women are more willing to speak up. But still, the shame can be too much.

And I do agree with earlier comment that there are shades of grey here. A quick unwanted advance is one thing. Holding someone down and putting a hand over the mouth to stop then from screaming as you try to take their clothes off is way over wherever the line exactly is.

But yes, that is if it happened. I thnk that is why Conway said what she said and why the Senators saying that she should be heard and then people can make up their minds are right. I don't see what other choice anyone has in this.

That would be an interesting debate. I can see both sides of it.

The proble, is that Kavanaugh did not say that and apologize. He says it absolutely did not happen. That has now become the standard by which this claim is judged.

No one got hurt? She's had to consult psychiatrists over it. Many sexual assault victims don't report it until many years later. Happens all the time.

From what I have read and seen she didn't consult anyone until 2012 and that was during couples therapy.
