I just kept thinking, "why in the hell would anyone here be panicking over Alabama's recruiting class"?
D1 says some odd things at times and always count on him to defend/promote our rivals but that was some strange wording. Haha.

Bama will be fine BUT this is a down year recruiting for them. The loss to Clemson and the loss of some of their recruiters along with the rumor of Saban retiring in the next few years will have an effect on them. They're still going to consistently be a top five, top ten team in recruiting but we should be able to narrow the gap if Butch can win consistently on the field.

He never assured this fanbase when we had rampant panic throughout APRIL! None of this "September-February" gold. True question, does he ever "leave" Bama? Or do they stay in him through him every moment of every day? :)

If LWS is still over here ask him about the talent Kiffin had on campus for his camp while coach at UT. He had a crazy camp roster that included damn near the top guys at many positions including a group from Louisiana OBJ, , Jarvis Landry, 3 of the top 7 qbs, 3 of top 4 rbs, and that was just offense. On defense it was crazy too Ego ferguson, Luc, Elam, Corey Miller, the DT from Miller school who committed/decommitted, and so on. It was easily loaded like a Rivals camp. Not sure your issue Rish.

You're forgetting the new timeline. They need to get on it because most of the prospects will be signed in December. Moving that timeline up two months makes a difference

It keeps coming up over and over. Not pumping a rival just stating facts. Ppl here are celebrating recruiting now which is fine. The thing is they'll do fine come February. I hope UT can d this well and close the gap for real hell I hate Bama fans and not winning the SEC lEast while its a cake walk. I hate being taunted by other fans especially Vandy in Nashville and Hendersonville who look me in the face and say 3x and counting.

Regardless of how well Bama finishes, does this indicate a "slow down" of Saban's drive?

They have a stacked team now and will probably have a great season, which will bring the recruits, but is this the beginning of the end? AS A UT FAN I SAY YES!

Look man ppl kp posting it and this particular poster has said it like at least 2x in differeny post. Panic was said in sarcasm due to the hope ppl hv for the fall of Saban and Ala. But if you look at that roster mannnnnnnnnnnnnn i wish it was located in Knoxville. I honestly believe Saban could die and they could hire you Butchna and they'll win.

Every year there are rumors about Saban. One year he was retiring, one year he was leaving for Texas, then he was leaving to go back to the NFL. Yet, they finished #1 in recruiting each of those years.

Almost every year, they lose assistants to other programs. This year is no different.

I have no explanation for why Alabama is off to a slow start. Maybe it is by design and maybe it is a reaction to the title game loss. I don't know. But, if I were a betting man, I would bet that by February 7, 2018, the "experts" will have Alabama's 2018 class rated higher than ours.

The thing that isn't rumor is Saban's age. Retirement is on the horizon and likely it will come before most incoming college freshmen graduate.

Bamas class will always be higher because there is a moderate adjustment in rating BC of where a recruit is committed to. That said when you're beating out Bama for recruits that they want like Emerson, littaker, Horn, etc, you're actually winning recruiting battles even if some services don't show that.

Saban is what drives Bama. Until he leaves, there will be no drop off in recruiting or performance. The assistants, especially on the defensive side of the ball are interchangeable because Saban runs that. The offense is the question mark every year. Will they have a dominant running game, will the play calling be better than the championship game?

Everyone has a punchers chance against Bama.

he's younger than Snyder so there is a precedence for an old dude to keep coaching.

Except that Snyder retired once. The program that he built fell so hard that they called him back to revitalize it. It's an unusual circumstance.
