Josh is not the guy

Say I'm overreacting all you want. He does not get our players ready to play in the critical games. He is not a horrible coach, but he will not win a Championship at UT. If you're okay with that fine, I'm personally not. Flame me all you want for this take, I've seen enough. Kirby is out here and his players win games that they play like trash in, ours play well and dominate and still lose, and lose because of stupid mistakes, dropped passes, bad playing calling on both D and O, and poor overall preparation and coaching.
You do know it took Kirby 6 years to win his first national championship.. Josh has brought this team back from dumpster fire! Chill out we had a bad game on offense tonight… Heupel can win a national championship here & if our fans don’t run home off, I believe he will!

Is it? So on 4th and 1 instead of running the Hurry up that has a chance of catching them off gaurd and also what has been dominant for us for years.... you choose to run yet another play action out of the same formation that we threw the pick six on... not exact formation but really close. And you choose to throw it to a freshman that has 2 catches on the season? So the dumb is on us "posters" in a forum?
F
Yes it is dumb. That formation has been run a ton. It was an execution problem. Just like the pick 6 against Bama. That’s not in Heupel or Halze. That’s squarely on Aguilar. He made a bad throw. At some point you and others are gonna have to realize these players have to accept a large share of the blame.

I’m not saying we need to fire him, but dang we look worse than a high school football team as far as discipline, fundamentals, strategy, and coaching…I mean every part of the team looked terrible. What’s more, is we are getting out coached over and over again. He does not adjust, he does not adapt, he can’t seem read a timepiece, even if it was firmly attached to is wrist, and his team plays like he looks…unsat! Seriously, if he sat down the clip board and picked up a homeless sign, and stood at the corner of paper mill and Kingston pike, he’d have folks giving him charity bc he comes across as too casual and frivolous…and this hobo styled, laissez-faire attitude is starting to affect his job and especially the team. The word of the day is unserious! He’s not quite at the Jeremy Pruitt slobbish level yet…but he’s drifting that direction! He and the team need to get serious, find some discipline, start playing with smarts and find some decorum along the way, or it could get really ugly for us! I mean heck we are in the SEC, not the Sun Valley Conference, smh!

Now you’re gonna get pushback from people saying “you guys always say that”

People are always great pointing out problems and pretty much the opposite at giving solutions.
It’s because there is no 8 ball for the solution? You know a coach out there that comes with a winning guarantee? Exactly.

You either decide as a program that 7-9 wins isn’t good enough because you want better and make a change….. or you don’t. You don’t get a guarantee with the next coach you hire.

We can bask in mediocrity, or get real uncomfortable and look for the next guy. I say look for the next guy, but we won’t.

So the opinion here is: Josh makes bad decisions so we need to fire him, whether we have anyone specifically in mind we can get to replace him or not?

And JOSH makes bad decisions? What could be worse than a knee jerk firing of a coach without having a clue who we might get.

We're about to see this play out at both LSU and Penn State. How to trash your program for several years.

We did this after Fulmer. Let's not even consider doing it again.

IThe knock on him was turnovers and we're seeing if you heat him up, he'll throw you a couple..

This is starting to feel like Butch Jones Jr just a level below it.. as I appreciate what he has done as picking this program back at a level but I don’t see it getting to another level with him at hand..unfortunately that’s how a lot of us feel I believe.

Some of his decisions are really questionable, why is he not taking the penalty when the fg kicker is nailing everything. Maybe I need to sleep on it..

#2 scoring offense nationally under Halze. 3 WRs over 100 yards receiving under Halze. Didn’t happen under Golesh.
And we're still staring down 7-5 (3-5) in Huepel's fifth season

You guys made the same arguments about stats for Guarantano back in the day as well.

Stats are moot if you aren't winning games.

We’re really in a bad spot. He’s probably better than who he’d be replaced with. Probably… But he isn’t winning championships. It’s year 5. It ain’t happening. So do we just accept good but never great? Like that’s a serious question. I’m honestly torn…
I'm surprised this is even an honest question

Are you aware of Tennessee history over the last 25 years?

You keep Huepel

Have you seen our defense? 3rd and 20. Or 4th and 10 with a 55 yard kick coming. I’m probably declining it too.

I say we give him another year.. we won’t win big next season and he’ll be out next season. That’s my prediction. Danny White should give Traylor from UTSA a hard look. He’s a winner.
