Well, here is the deal, neither you or I have been around these guys or in the huddle with these guys, all we have to go on is what we see and hear, but apparently I'm not the only one who feels that way as I heard a few guys saying it in a round table discussion on NFL network yesterday as well. As far as getting it done, lets go through the list of "getting it done" at the college level that didn't translate to the NFL shall we?
At the same time I can't take his or the people around hims decision making seriously to be honest. So that has no impact on my opinion on that.
NOPE! I can tell you what I have heard though... a lot of folks suggesting he could go to the Browns, and a lot of folks saying how much Hugh liked Dobbs.
Browns shopping the #12 pick. Yeah, they definitely taking Trubisky now
and..............you think that means the Browns have a remote chance of taking him #1? I could entertain the idea of #12....even though that is still crazy high for his talent.
Well damn, if a quarterback with a glove on is all the browns needed then they should have just stuck with Tim Couch

Personally, I'm taking Watson. Watson's only drawback is that he throws too many picks. Just about every other part of his game is superior to Dobbs. And Dobbs throws more picks than he should, so that comparison doesn't help too much, anyway.
But, Watson is the only QB that I'd be willing to take in the latter 3rd of the 1st round. I'm not taking anyone else before the 2nd. That's not a general knock on Dobbs, whom I actually like a little less than Mahomes, but a little more than Trubisky and way more than Kizer.
Dobbs is passionate, matter of fact, confident, takes charge, and controls a conversation. Watson has a communications degree but he was quiet, reserved, unsure, had a lot to learn . You should go watch the two in the huddle in that Gruden camp. The difference was obvious. Dobbs is a get the job done guy, Watson is much more reserved. I have some more stuff to do but I'll be back later. You guys should maybe start a draft thread in the NFL section.
No, I have an informed opinion that's based on the reality of past events. You otoh have an opinion based on pulling stuff out of your arse that have no basis in truth. Big difference.
To jog your memory....Watson's last 2 title game performances vs the best team/defense (Alabama) in the country.....66-103, 825 yards passing, 7 touchdowns, 1 interception.....scored 37.5 points per game vs Bama. I call that controlling or "commanding" the game.
You take college team success to much into account when it comes to NFL success. Watson is not physically superior to Dobbs. Dobbs is taller, more athletic, and has a stronger arm.
This is absolutely true.
Dobbs came off as a confident leader at Gruden's camp. Watson came off as an unsure kid.
I will take a more accurate arm over a stronger arm every single day. Watson is way better on intermediate to deep throws, which is a QB's lifeblood in the league.
And before you respond that Dobbs is more accurate than Watson, just don't. That's freaking stupid.
