Josh Dobbs (merged)

Wait, is this a real question?

They treated him like you do JG.
How exactly do I "treat" JG? I don't think I have said anything bad about the kid other than he can't read defenses, never runs (therefore kills the RPO), and holds on to the ball too long. All VERY fair criticism. You on the other hand resort to name calling and agenda driven BS as you normally do with just about everything that doesn't meet a unique criteria.

WHO EVER IN THIS FORUM EVER WISHED JOSH DOBBS ANYTHING BUT GOOD LUCK IN THE NFL. I cannot recall a single individual. There were many that doubted he would get drafted or make a team. No one ever bad mouthed him as a person or as UT's QB. Fair criticism is not dislike nor is it hate. Go crawl in your safe space.
He is saying that Dobbs was treated the way JG currently is. Everyone saying he sucks, we cant win with him, we need to see what the backup can do. There were alot of people saying the exact same ****.

I have yet to see a moniker called Sh*tton. Maybe you could come up with some specific individuals that actually said Dobbs was no good in College.
Many many MANY called for him to be benched. If you dont know, then you werent paying attention when Dobbs was here. I don't care enough to go scrolling in old threads to prove it.

That's hilarious. Dobbs was 100 times a better QB than JG.

And before you make it something it's not. This board use to rip on Worley

100 times is an obvious exageration. Agree that Dobbs was better as a junior and senior, but sophomore Dobbs, maybe not.

I will agree Dobbs was a much, much better runner, but JG has much greater accuracy throwing the ball. JG can grow into the roll and maybe start to approach Dobbs junior/senior year performances....but we need an OL first.

I respectfully disagree simply because JG can not run like JD did. He will never have that production unless the game slows down for him and it hasn't this year at all. At this point in time, he cannot read the defense. Until he does, he will keep taking shots and producing 1 TD or less per game.

Move those goalposts.

Prove that he is the most accurate qb in UT history with one of the highest ypa and the "decision making" and "only short passes" arguments are dead.

Now its tds per game. What about tds per attempts?

Lmao.

Most reasonable post, by far, in this thread so far.
