Josh Dobbs (merged)

LOL. This might be the silliest criticism of Dobbs I've seen to date.

Outside of the freak arms in the league like Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Stafford, and Patrick Mahomes, Dobbs arm is right there with anybody else.

Good news about this is that we're less than a month away from Dobbs coming out party in the NFL. Week 10. Thursday Night Football. Carolina Panthers. That will be the moment you realize how stupid you were for saying this post.

Dobbs ' arm is well above average. I wonder what the haters will say once Dobbs gets to play and he proves you correct.

Same thing they did with Alvin Kamara.

I'm pretty sure they will say it was inevitable and that every Tennessee fan could see it coming given how he carried the program during the Butch Jones years.

Eventhough they all laughed in 2017 when I said Alvin and Dobbs would be stars in the NFL.

Geez, do we have another D4H alt?

Whether you believe it or not, I have no alts on this site.

Now I do post on other sites where I say similar things. But I don't need to have multiple accounts on one site trying to big each other up.

You should know by now that I don't post for your approval or anyone else's. I simply say what I believe. Don't care if anyone else agrees with it. You just seem to be bothered by the fact there are some others who are now starting to agree.

Ok then, since we have more than one D4H (no, I don't believe it) I'll play along for a bit
1. Why were there a handful of scouts pre-draft talking about him having trouble throwing outside the numbers (usually indicative of not enough zip on the ball)?
2. Why in year two did he prove this is still an issue with the pic-6 he threw?
3. Why is it that when he really needs to put zip on the ball, he has to put so much effort into it his mechanics take a dive and his accuracy (everyone else's would too, so that part isn't just him) takes a hit?

Funny D4H put Allen in there with the "Freak" arms but Allen's accuracy is rough to say the least. I would sub him out with Matt Ryan who has a REALLY good arm and I would put Carson Wentz and Jared Goff in that group as well. Until Dobbs proves he can accurately throw the deep out type of routes while protecting the football, it's going to be a tough go at it if he ever gets regular season snaps where he has to throw the ball.

He will get the snaps to prove it.

I can't remember, when is Dobbs supposed to take over as the starter?

The resident Nostradamus said he'd take over as starter by the end of the regular season and lead the team to the Super Bowl. He's got 10 weeks left, but of course he's already started kicking the can to 2019.

No kicking the can. This is the year.

It feels like something special is about to happen.

Is something special, similar to, elite physical tools? Or is this just another one of your go-to phrases for the nebulous and undefined basis for your most-often-wrong predictions?

It's something he can say that is a positive but is generic enough that he doesn't have to specify what it is because if he did that, he'd be held accountable for his "predicitions". It's the same reason he couches everyone with "Pro Bowl potential" or "Elite potential"; it's a way to say he thinks they'll be great in case they are, but if they aren't, then point out he only said they had potential, not that they'd be great.

I mean let's be honest, even when it's clear as day it's not going to happen, he'll just say Dobbs is the greatest tragedy in sports history; that the NFL had the greatest player ever and never used him.
