It won them the game. To come in cold on 3rd and long in your own end zone with the game on the line and have the balls to check from a run to a pass play in your first non mop up duty?

Landry would’ve handed off or thrown a pick 6 in that instance, like he did against the Bengals in the playoffs.

Gah, can't believe they let Dobbs play... that guy blows. JG blows too. Also, Worley was terrible. Bray, Ainge, Schaeffer, Clausen, other Clausen... lousy. Crompton was probably our best QB since Manning and I'm not sure he wasn't better. Probably retire his jersey soon too...

Did I miss anyone?

I will agree Dobbs was a much, much better runner, but JG has much greater accuracy throwing the ball. JG can grow into the roll and maybe start to approach Dobbs junior/senior year performances....but we need an OL first.

His senior year, Dobbs had 63% accuracy, on 357 attempts, with 8.3 YPA, and 27 TDs to 12 INTs.

Not sure the 2.6% higher pass completion percentage by JG constitutes "much greater accuracy".

I agree he can't run like Dobbs...few can. But his passing is far more accurate. So JG is not necessarily worse than Dobbs, just different. I do think Dobbs was a good QB though, and maybe JG won't quite measure up, but I hope he does better frankly. We need it.

I missed Dobbs first throw in a regular season game and it was a 22 yard completion out of his end zone ? Who caught it ?
