Instead of looking at those reports, look at who made them, they came from mouthpieces of haslam, currie was haslams hand picked ad, this was simply a purge of haslam influence by the rest of the UT boosters. It is obvious to anybody without some preconcieved hatred of fulmer that those reports were only to make him look bad for trying to save his alma mater.

And you know that Haslam was putting that info out how?

More conspiracy theories and anti Fulmer BS. 95% of the fan base is excited for Coach Pruitt and excited that HOF Coach Fulmer is leading the AD. Time to get on board and stop with all the negative posts. We are about to be good again in Football, enjoy the ride!
This is a barefaced lie. Fulmer is extremely divisive. People are split about having him leading UT.

As for Jeremy Pru Bammer, people are willing to give him a chance. None of this nightmare was his fault. That being said, almost no one is excited about having a staff full of Bammers or a coach who is helping our hated rival try to win another national championship instead of recruiting.

Currie went right along with little Jimmy's wishes and went all in for Schiano. Yes, Curry was the bad guy here. This seems like a covert attempt at yet another Fulmer bash. I seriously do not understand what some Vol fans have against Fulmer.
Fulmer has been calling prospective coaches, warning them against taking the UT job ever since his firing. Fulmer is the party most responsible for the decline of Tennessee football. He wanted UT to fail to show Hamilton, Currie, and company made a mistake firing him.

I see a lot of people fishing for likes and going along with the crowd.

Why not have a conversation about what I said and tell me where you think I’m wrong?

Looking at the timeline of events nothing I said is out of the realm of possibility.

Because what you said is dumb and not worth discussing. Please start by explaining why anyone is a top position at the UTAD over the last decade is more trustworthy than CPF?

And you know that Haslam was putting that info out how?

All the reports that said that Fulmer was involved with the search, simply said that. They did not say how he was involved, or quote anything that was said by Fulmer. The reports that came out that Fulmer was not involved quoted administration and close associates of Fulmer. It is a conspiracy theory anytime you accuse someone in a level of power that controls what happens, and you sir have accused Fulmer of exactly that in your post!!!!!!

Pete thamel, is friends with currie and pushed that story as soon as currie told him he was suspended. Hyams is in the same boat. They simply didnt like that two guys got blackballed for conspiring to control a public university like it was haslams second chance at ruining a football program.

Where is the proof of the first part (another generic rumor), The decline occurred after Fulmer was fired (so I guess that you could blame him). They did make a mistake!!!!!!!

I don’t have anything against him. I’m just not completely convinced this was all Currie’s fault.

If the reports that Fulmer was sabotaging Currie are true then UT settling for Pruitt when they could have had Leach or Brohm is directly on him.

I would kind of agree with you. But, lets not conflate things. Leach and Brohm were not 2 hot P5 coaches who were fighting off multiple big time offers. They are both mediocre. Now, if you want to say that they have more HC experience than Pruitt, well thats a legit point.

Its not all Curries fault. Its also Bev and little Jimmy's fault. These 3 joined forces to create this whole debacle. But Fulmer pulling a sabotage? I would have to see some real legit proof to believe that.

This is more speculative than the jfk assassination. Please stop typing and fix your tin foil hat.

Fulmer loves posts like this. He has enjoyed every moment of Tennessee's struggles. He has gloated for years about how he was about to get it all fixed. Haven't you heard? He had Taj Boyd on the hook.

The truth is...the saboteur-in-chief is now in charge of the AD. His first order of business was to hire a coordinator, not a coach. Fulmer intends to run the football prograam himself. That's why the Austin Taylor deal never got done and why Fulmer himself was on the road recruiting. Fulmer thinks he's bigger than UT, and so does the poster above and about 30 to 40% of the fan base, most of whom are 60 or older.

Is he really the bad guy? It’s been reported that Fulmer was sabotaging everything Currie tried to do and I’m starting to think that was true.

Is it possible that Fulmer wanted to hire Schiano (it was said Peyton was supportive of this as well) and Currie made sure that didn’t happen to try and save his job and please the fan base?

Currie then tried to hire Brohm and Leach (both of which the fan base would have approved of), and Fulmer torpedoed then because “he wanted a defensive guy.”

The UTAD then fires Currie and uses him as a scapegoat for their ineptitude, and let Fulmer Hire his defensive guy under the guise of “having a UT blooded leader looking out for our best interests.”

Seems to me that Currie went rogue and was trying to make a good hire and everyone in the admin opposed. For the record I would have taken Leach or Brohm over Pruitt. Both are proven head coaches and they would have torched the SEC EAST with elite offenses.

Flame on but I think Fulmer is the enemy and the fan base was duped again. Only time will tell.

Currie signed Schianos MOU that he had attorneys draw up, so yeah your theory is wrong

You do know Pruitt took our recruiting class from around # 50 in the nation to around 24 right now don't you. Oh yeah this was in about a two week span. I am ok with Pruitt over Leach or Brohm. Pruitt has SEC experence and bring in coaches who can recruit and most of them have SEC ties.

You truly cant stop the stupid from coming out of your fingers can you? Austin Thomas didnt fit because the authority and control he was seeking, PRUITT wasnt willing to give up. This was pruitt keeping control of his team. If you really think pruitt is enough of a pushover to allow fulmer to control him go ask the UGA boosters he shamed into building an indoor practice facility, i think they would disagree with you.

As for you conspiracy theory, it has been documented on many reports that Fulmer had nothing to do with the search.

Not completely true. It was documented that he may have not been consulted about the first hire (Schanio) but it was documented that he was involved after that went south.

So it is based on what one wants to believe or not believe.

We will never know the truth if they pay Currie. If they try to not pay him - it could get ugly and my gut tells me that Fulmer is not as innocent as some think.
