Its time to pull the trigger.

Can you build a case for anybody else out there at that time that would be GOOD ENOUGH at this time?
Mark Ingram, Athletic Director UAB

He ACTUALLY rebuilt a program from nothing. He has experience as an AD AND at UT. He's a professional admin, a guy who stays outta the way of the programs and doesn't micromanage.

He's NOT going to routinely be in the coach's film room. He has his own job and knows that.

Again, Fulmer is a COACH, a damn good coach, in the wrong job. Why is this even a discussion? Do you hire an MD to be a Contractor for your house? Well, he saved my life, surely he can build a house......

Phil DID do well with what he got from Currie. I DO appreciate it but let's hire AN ACTUAL PROFESSIONAL ADMINISTRATOR to..... ya know.... be an administrator.

If Fulmer has been great doing everything else besides hiring Pruitt then it would be considered doing a good job. If so he should be allowed to replace his mistake. If he had screwed up everything else he should be fired.

Bruh he was going to let Barnes walk, until others stepped in to stop it. That alone is enough to fire Fulmer on top of the Pruitt situation.

Mark Ingram is a very good AD and would be a good successor to Phil Fulmer.

I would be curious to know what the revenue for football is versus the combination of all sports. I assume some sports break even or actually lose money.
Since there was a discussion that all sports sans football are doing well under this administration.

One question how do you know what he actually does and doesn't do

In another week or so trying to fire him with cause to save the buyout money will not be worth the damage they have already caused.

Ingram? Results. UAB was dead in 2014, no program and he helped build it to a couple of conference championships.

Fulmer? Just reading reports that Fulmer is in the film room routinely..... have I seen him personally there? No....... but as someone said here: these kinds of leaks are not casual, they have purpose AND they damage our ability to recruit coaches. True? I dunno. I've never heard that Byrne is watching film with Saban regularly....... and I'm betting I won't. It's not an AD's job.

I’ve thought it was crap all along but maybe I’m wrong. We shall see.
I saw an interview with Meyer on Klatt this morning but they talked about AL vs OSU and nothing else. I'm sure Klatt knew better than to bring up anything about the Jags if he ever wanted to get Meyer on the show again.

Meyer looked RUGGED, unshaved and just weary, and rumors had him on Shad Khan's ridiculously huge yacht Friday for a meeting.

I have no idea what's going on but Google "Joel Klatt Urban Meyer"....... Meyer looked like a remnant from frat party.

Edit: that interview was 1/6, not this morning. I just happened to see it this morning.

So you're just guessing as I thought. You actually have no clue

Well, personal info? Have I seen Fulmer in the film room? No.

So, sure. I assume you don't read reports of what's going on and only use personal info.

What is your best take from what YOU'VE personally seen?

Taking leftovers is what we do best.
Ain't that the truth most can agree we should have parted ways with pruitt months ago but they keep kicking the can down the road when they do fire him we will have a repeat of 17 on our hands

I'm just not one for blaming 2 guys, I believe it's much more than just those 2
Agreed. Pruitt's coaching issues have been discussed here at length and Fulmer's extension of Pruitt, as though he were a "hot commodity" after the Ga State loss????, was mismanagement.

Sure, others are watching this and doing nothing. Some of it probably is others, perhaps Boyd and Plowman COULD act, but donations are good (apparently) and SEC money is good and the program CAN coast as an also ran.

That's been my contention: admin no longer cares about having an elite football program. There's much more to a university than football, certainly, and we've gone a long time without winning and the program is still making money so.......
