Politely, Arkansas also got Pittman.
He'll sign that because if he's wants to be a HC, he'll have to sign that. Other coaches aren't Pittman and won't sign that deal.
Seems pretty normal for a guy who's never been a head coach before. I think Pruitt is only owed 60% of his pay if he is fired regardless of how many games UT wins.
Sure, but at what cost to our ability to move the program forward. The longer they linger, the more likely we end up with another Dooley-type hire with many players bolting for the doors. I’d rather keep Pruitt another year than that happen. They aren’t just sitting there twiddling their thumbs. They’re trying to build a case to fire for cause. They can’t just do that wantonly because if Pruitt sued them and won in court, they could be ordered to pay MORE than the original buyout under treble damages. They need to ensure all their ducks are in a row before they pull the trigger.
He's guaranteed 60% of the remaining contract balance, which is why Fulmer should have never extended him with anything more than 2 years left on his contract.
Dead man walking. This will not end with championships or Pruitt being the Tennessee HOF, too much blood in the water to recover.
