Is there bad blood between Pruitt and Smart?

How is 3 straight trips to the SEC CG with a chance to go to the playoffs underwhelming? Bama and LSU weren't exactly garbage the last 2 seasons.

Kirby has never had to rebuild a program.

Pruitt took over a team that went winless in the SEC with negative media attention surrounding our program at the time.

You can say Mark Richt underachieved at Georgia as well but he still recruited quality SEC players. Smart is slightly doing better because more recruits are still buying into his BS.

I'm not comparing coaches, you are. Smart has had his team on the verge of the playoffs the last 2 seasons. That's all I'm saying.....granted he had it won in the '17 season and let it slip away.

if i'm CKS and i've recruited & signed these kids and they want to leave for another in-conference school then they better be prepared to sit out a year until ncaa changes some rules.

love UTK but, duh

To be fair, there’s bad blood between almost all the coaches in the SEC. Saban doesn’t like that we steal his coaches. Smart doesn’t like that we steal his players. Mason acts like he won the Natty every time he beats us. Nobody likes Muschamp and Kiffin. The only coach that may be cool with everyone right now is Leach, but that’s probably because he just got here and he’s so far out there and different than everyone else. It’s a cutthroat league and that is how it’s always been.

That is obvious. Smart did it to Cox, then Gibbs, now Mays.

No surprise, really. Who would go along with a transfer waiver to an in-conference rival?

Smart is a dick regardless.

Which I understand but he cried like a baby when Bama initially block Maurice Smith from transferring to UGA. Can't have it both ways.

Richt recruited top 10 classes every year...Pruitt took over a roster that couldn't beat Vandy.

I would recommend looking at the weakness of their SEC schedule the past 3 years and look at the results of games when they did play legit teams in those 3 seasons. FY

I like JO’s approach. Let them have 1 free transfer to find a better fit, until that’s the rule, write the letter supporting their transfer.

Any grown person so insecure should not be in charge of developing these young men into better players and for some better people.

Which boiled down to the SEC CG...granted there was an outside chance they could've gotten in without losing to USC e.

If you think winning the East 3 years in a row with the talent he’s had is impressive, then i don’t know what to tell you. He’s faced virtually no competition. Florida was solid last year but that’s about it.

Georgia is still miles ahead of us. Florida has closed the gap but not us.
Florida hasn't recruited significantly better than us in the last couple of years, including this year. The worm is starting to turn here. Georgia though, is still ahead of both Florida and Tennessee recruiting wise, but they consistently do more with less. Hope that trend continues.
