Iran

Every society, by definition, is unsustainable. They all fail. Ours will too, eventually.

But congratulations on figuring out that we’re on an unsustainable course. Call mom, she’s gonna be so proud.

If you think the Millennials are about to fall off a cliff, and Z’s are gonna follow right after them, you’re an idiot. Not sorry.
Ever heard of the boiling frog? I think they made that theory about you.

Should Russia be allowed to keep their nuclear weapons considering their propensity to invade their neighbors?

India is moving towards Hindutva fascism, should they be disarmed?

Religious extremest groups in Pakistan have significant influence in their government, should they be disarmed as well?

How many countries should the US genocided for you to feel like Israel is sufficiently "safe"?
Super lame. There are a lot of bad and untrustworthy people who own guns. Does that mean we should just say f' it and let all the rest get them?
As far as Israel's safety, I will give you three guesses as to who else would be a target of Iranian nukes and the first two don't count. Israel is only the little Satan.

Is anyone saying otherwise?

I'm glad you think everything is going just fine. You're one of a very special few.

🥴🥴🥴
I’m “tail end” of Gen X, a stones throw from the early Millennials, and am doing great. Thanks.

So are all of the young Millennials moving into our East Germantown neighborhood. They’re popping out kids and gobbling up 4k sq ft homes like it’s their job (or their future, dunno).

Unless you're a mind-reader, you don't know what I believe. So I'll tell you...

I'm a realist. And realistically, we've entered a *war* - Trump's words not mine. As far as I can tell, Trump has not provided a clear rational for us entering this new war, nor has he provided a plan for the conditions upon which it is a "success" nor has he enlightened us with an exit strategy. This is a problem.

This isn't about Trump bashing. This isn't about wanting Iran to win the war. It's about being prudent when potentially entering a war (fail) and about owing the people that Trump works for (us) an explanation and a plan if he expects our children and grandchildren to die for such a war.

Trump has failed in this regard.

You are absolutely welcome to your own opinion that we're "winning" this war. There's plenty of evidence that we've blown up a bunch of Iran's weapons systems, ships, etc. But just like the "body count" yardstick in Vietnam, these things do not actually tell us if we will disengage this war on terms that best serve our country.

As I see things currently, we're stuck with a tar baby of our own creation. Iran has gummed up the oil production and shipment, and Trump has publicly offered no plan on how he'll fix it. Iran *owns* the Strait of Hormuz while our military is outside looking in... for now at least.

If Trump walks away from this war right now and declares "victory", tell me... what have we achieved?

(1) No regime change;
(2) Nuclear weapons program still intact;
(3) Oil shipments through Hormuz stuck until Iran chooses otherwise; and
(4) Iran can rebuild once the war is "over".

How is this a "success"?

Look at that. You didn't even need AI

The point is what QOL one can get with a degree. Let's not forget the change in cost of a degree in those 35 years.
He's so obtuse he didn't see I could literally run every single demographic, cost analysis, and wage analysis and it all comes back to housing costing 2x the amount of spending power it used to.

But he worked hard and young people are lazy and should save their money while paying $2100 in rent for a 500 sqft apartment.

We destroyed their capacity to enrich uranium last year. We did not touch their stockpile of already enriched uranium or their missile program. They told us straight up that they had enough to make over 10 devices.

Are you calling Pete Hegseth a liar?

I hope everyone posting propaganda that this was an Iranian missile will see your links and accept the disgusting truth.
Will never happen. Trump has declared it was an Iranian Tomahawk, which is absurd in and of itself, thus that is the message that will be carried.

It’s a horrible tragedy and I’m sure we didn’t hit it on purpose. But I’ve no doubt there is a person somewhere that entered the targeting coordinates into the missile and a simple examination of those coordinates would likely show they correspond to the school building.

BV thinks the Islamist regime of Iran are just normal Muslim folks…. Nothing extreme about them

Don't forget, one neighborhood has young people moving into it (take that guy's word for it, that's all that's moving in).

It’s not up to me to justify your purchases. If you don’t feel your home is worth what you paid, you shouldn’t have purchased it
compared to the market it was worth it. I am not angry about what I bought. just pointing out prices haven't gone thru the roof because everything is bigger/newer/nicer. there were far more outside factors playing into cost increases than the fiber optics being ran by the utility company you think added 200k in value.

But those kids have been waging war against us for 47 years so it's OK.

You'll need to define your arbitrary determination factors if you want people to follow them.

BTW, Iran has no ICBM technology to speak of.

At the risk of chastisement for another derailment, and since they won't answer me here or in the other Pub thread, @OrangeTsar and @rikberry31:

I'd think a Christian would read the OT through the lens of the NT, since that's what we're actually supposed to do. OT history and lessons are ours. How is someone that rejects the perfect sacrifice, the perfect gift of God Himself, "chosen"?
Sorry I haven’t been on pub for a while. Israel being „chosen“ is not synonymous with „saved“. The old covenant with Abraham comes far before the incarnation and it is an eternal covenant. Israel remains God‘s chosen pople but each individual still has to have faith in Jesus to be right with God. And of course, we gentile Christians are described as having been grafted onto God‘s family.

It’s amazing to me that the kids were in school to begin with. I’m pretty sure mine would have been at home with me and not in a school located near military targets.
Regardless of who is responsible, it’s a very sad situation. Those children were innocent

Imagine watching our Vols play bama, we’re winning big… but everytime we fumble the ball or miss a tackle some vol fans cheer. Would you not think wtf is wrong with those people?
I imagine Bama competing against Georgia for the top recruiting class and every time Bama signs a recruit, we send more NIL money to Georgia.
