Iran

I know man, people in here acting like 2020 and 2021 didn't happen. I bought my house February of 2020 right before the explosion.

I signed on the dotted line for 219K.

Zillow says my house is worth 398K exactly 6 years and 1 month later.

If I was 6 years younger I couldn't afford the house I'm in which is nice but not extravagant. You're right though the comparison isn't even 2000 to 2026 it's 2019 to 2026 almost doubling. Unsustainable.
This is why fiscal policy, borrowing and spending, matter. Perhaps even more so than tax rates.

my 1200 squarefoot house built in 1959 cost me north of 300k. please tell me how my house got bigger or nicer somehow to justify the cost increase.

don't worry, I am sure you can explain to an architect how the same building got sooo much better.

It’s not up to me to justify your purchases. If you don’t feel your home is worth what you paid, you shouldn’t have purchased it

Wow… I wonder if those exact same sentiments have been directed from preceding generations at the succeeding generations in the past?

Silent at the Boomers
Boomers at X
X’ers at Millennials
Millennials at Z’s

Nah, prolly not…
Is anyone saying otherwise?

I'm glad you think everything is going just fine. You're one of a very special few.

🥴🥴🥴

We destroyed their capacity to enrich uranium last year. We did not touch their stockpile of already enriched uranium or their missile program. They told us straight up that they had enough to make over 10 devices.
Not sure why this lie is continually repeated here.

One last time: Iran does NOT have the 90% enriched uranium required to build a bomb. No one has ever said they have it, nor did Iran "admit" to have it.

So just stop.

Disagree? Provide links to prove it.

Man let's not even get into taxes and how much they're eating out of my paycheck. Especially the "hidden" taxes.
You know my position on taxes.

But the grotesque spending with the predictable impact on purchasing power is an insidious "hidden" tax. But people will not vote en masse for politicians who are fiscally responsible. Maybe we will get to a pain point too intense to ignore and people will vote smarter.

Every American has the right to bear arms but psychos and felons are prohibited. Iran would be considered both.

Should Russia be allowed to keep their nuclear weapons considering their propensity to invade their neighbors?

India is moving towards Hindutva fascism, should they be disarmed?

Religious extremest groups in Pakistan have significant influence in their government, should they be disarmed as well?

That is what I was saying. Their country would cease to exist.

How many countries should the US genocide for you to feel like Israel is sufficiently "safe"?

From the river to the sea, pal.

I see a future at some point where we have to pay for all we're doing. What generation gets to eat that **** sandwich?

If you think the course we're on is sustainable you're an idiot. Sorry.
Every society, by definition, is unsustainable. They all fail. Ours will too, eventually.

But congratulations on figuring out that we’re on an unsustainable course. Call mom, she’s gonna be so proud.

If you think the Millennials are about to fall off a cliff, and Z’s are gonna follow right after them, you’re an idiot. Not sorry.

So again, the point you're making is to throw up our hands and watch it fail.

Lord have mercy. And I mean that literally. You're the problem.

some important caveats. I had to put in about 30k in improvements before I could even move in. Got asbestos removed, repaired damaged foundation, replaced the driveway, and replaced the wiring in about half of the house.

I have sense spent about another 30k in upgrading appliances, buying a new roof, and a number of other updates to get with the time.

Increase from what starting point? 1959?
