Come on man. Did Hitler announce his plans for Europe when he was negotiating with Neville Chamberlain?(He did in Mein Kampf). Taking lying terrorist at face value is foolish and dangerous. Iran has been untrustworthy in everything else but we can take they that they only want to make electricity, right.
Every action the Iranian regime was taking screamed they were furiously trying to get nukes. Their eggs were all in that basket.
Do other countries that produce nuclear power hide their enrichment facilities under mountains? Why did Iran do that? Because they did want their nuke program taken out by an Israeli airstrike, like it was before.

Millennial or Gen Z? I think that definitely plays a role. Value experiences more than saving money. A lot just don’t have a desire to buy one in general

I think the issue here is the relative short distance of pipeline vs the logistics of off loading - piping - storing - loading back onto a ship

adds a bunch of time, and the "risk" of the two offloads isn't offset by a great distance bypassed.

usually pipelines make transportation simpler, and thus they make sense. but here I think it really only makes sense during war with Iran.

In our case since our combined income was around $60k it absolutely required 2 incomes and that was with penny pinching. If I alone made $60k back then we could have lived even more comfortably since we wouldn't have had to pay for daycare, wife to have a car and ext. If the wife didn't have student loans we wouldn't have had to squeeze the life out of every penny.

the reason the soviets didn't have money to keep up with Star Wars, vs all the other proxy wars, space race, and other tit for tat spending, was because the Chinese weren't in their back pocket, like they had been in the past.

you can go look at the USSRs income and see a noticeable change in trajectory a few years after Nixon visited China.

You made the claim they've said it I was just asking. Evidently they haven't said it but you just know it to be true. So we should bomb them continuously for how long?

Every generation thinks the generation that came before them “had it easier”. Every generation thinks the one coming behind it is “lazy and entitled”.

It’s the exact same song and dance, with a new set of actors.

It’s like Luther proclaiming that young people are progressive, and are about to flip the political landscape - it’s been that way for 80 years now… the country should be 90% Blue. It’s not.

Gen Z will be just fine.
Gen Alpha will talk about how easy Z had it.
Gen Z will tell Alpha to stop being stupid.

Eventually Alpha will get it together, and they’ll be just fine too.

Rinse. Repeat.

never had a clue what my dad made. I know it was considered a decent wage at the time, but we weren't rolling in it. based on the relative jobs that were held, I am assuming my dad was pretty mid-level to income of my friend/classmate dads, so that means there were plenty making less that made it work too.

There is no way I could afford my familys lifestyle on just my income. my wife and I have talked about how even if we both kept our incomes after kids, we wouldn't be able to afford my or her parents' lifestyle.

He intentionally makes the decision to paint things as worse than are. That’s why he claims they’re winning. That’s why he claims we are attacking schools intentionally. He wants Iran to win so he can blame Trump

It’s called understanding data. You shouldn’t simply say “college grads make less!” without realizing the supply has changed. You shouldn’t simply say “household income to home price ratios have changed!” Without first acknowledging that both household size and home size has changed. Of course smaller households living in larger homes will change that ratio

It’s like when women cry about not making as much as men without including that they work less, work in less dangerous fields, etc
